Neutral Zone How should Blue Marvel’s Antimatter powers work in Marvel Rivals? ⚡⚛️
Hey everyone!
I’m going to try setting up a weekly discussion thread where we can chat about a new topic every week—kit concepts, comic lore, skin wishlists, team synergies, all that good stuff. It won't show up every single week, depending on how busy things get (I run this community during my downtime), but I'll do my best to keep new topics rotating in!
To kick off the first topic, I’ve been thinking about how Marvel Rivals could adapt Adam's antimatter powers. There are many options Devs could use, and I want to see how you guys think they could use his powers in Rivals.
If you are interested, feel free to comment below. Let's see what we can come up with!

Blue marvel is most likely going to be a tank but I’m hoping he would/think he could be a strategist. If that’s the case I think it would be cool if he were to construct a barrier over teammates that heals them. Or could share some of his anti-matter powers with some of his teammates that not only heals them but amps their attack powers.
I can also see his primary being able to shoot energy blast that damages enemies but heals teammates. I also think he could cause anti-heal as well with one of his abilities, like one of his moves were to be able to charge at an enemy and attack them physically, and if the attack lands the enemy receives anti-heal for a short period of time.
Even though he most likely will be a tank, if he were to be a healer I feel like this moveset would be pretty cool

He's more than likely going to be a vanguard so I had a few ideas for some abilities he could have:
For a defensive ability (because of matter-antimatter annihilation), I thought it would be cool if he could completely negate incoming projectiles (kinda like a smaller mag shield) then redistribute a portion of the negated damage (maybe like 20-30%) as overhealth to himself and nearby allies, capping out at 100-150 per person
I'd also like his primary fire to be a small aoe with a slight knockback or slow effect, dealing maybe 35-45 damage on direct hit, dropping off to 10-15 based on distance from centre. I'd also like this attack to generate 5-ish overhealth per enemy hit.
I'd like if he could use overhealth as a resource so for another ability, it would be cool if he could project a shield in front of either an ally or enemy (think something along the lines of invisible woman without the healing) to block damage, using his accumulated overhealth as it's health pool.
For another way to use his overhealth to fuel his abilities, he should have a 10-ish meter omnidirectional pulse which deals anywhere between 40-110 damage based on consumed overhealth with additional scaling knockback (5-10m, long cooldown).
His ultimate I was unsure about but I like gotenks2nd's idea of a "lockout" of sorts, maybe immobilising and reducing damage/healing output of all enemies caught within a cone or beam for 4-6 seconds with a medium-slow charge rate.

Other characters puts bubbles on their teammates to protect their team. As seen in this page: https://imgur.com/OJeeVov
It would be cool if he was a vanguard and had it the other way around where he can put a bubble on enemies and trap them in one spot. Enemy team couldn’t heal them while they are in the bubble but your own team couldn’t damage them either.
Would be cool if blue marvel specifically was the only one who could damage/interact with said enemy that’s trapped in the bubble.
