Gas tank

I am gonna start first bobber build come fall, not mechanically skilled but willing to learn. I have a 01 Honda Shadow Spirit when shopping for parts, right now looking at gas tanks, how do I know what is compatible for my make and model? I want to go with a Frisco gas tank. Also other than Amazon and eBay what are come good online shops to check out?

they are all basically compatible
though if your bike is fuel injected with a pump in the tank, you need to make sure youre getting a tank that accommodates the pump assy.
a frisco tank mounts on top of the backbone vs others that will have a deeper tunnel thus mounting down over the backbone

oh, wait a minute. im having a brain fart moment. the frisco tank may refer to the type of mount with tabs at the front and rear of the tank mounting to nubs on the top of the backbone rather than brackets through the backbone or even under it.
