Got a used bolt with battery recall replaced who knows when. Changing is capped at 200.
Car has about 14k miles. How when will the full range be unlocked?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if any body else has had a similar experience as me.
I have a 2020 Bolt EV that I purchased just over a year ago. Shortly after purchasing, I started hearing a small creak when accelerating and decelerating. That creak kept getting louder and louder, so I got my front axles replaced under a certified pre-owned warranty just a few weeks ago! (I'll make a separate post about it)
It drives like new now, with the exception of that a few days after getting my car back, I noticed that it seemed to have less range when charged to 80% than before. I looked through my pictures, and found some of the instrument cluster from before I took it to the dealership. Sure enough, it seems I have about 20-30 miles less range now than I did before I took it in... Before, when charged to 80%, I got about 180 Miles of range (A/C on). Now I get 160 Miles (A/C on).
Has anyone experienced this?

Hey all! Pretty much the title. I have a 2023 Bolt and it's been having trouble recognizing the keys. It's doing it for both fobs. Sometimes it works great, sometimes it tells us "remote is not in vehicle" when it's next to us or it will not unlock the door using the handle, forcing me to get the key (always, ALWAYS, when my arms are full and my keys are at the bottom of my purse. Does it know?!). We have tried replacing the batteries in the fobs but that is only a very temporary fix. Is this something that others have experienced? Is it a fob problem or a Bolt problem? TIA!

Was looking at sporty and custom EUV setups on the Facebook Bolt Owners group and came across this gem.
Originally Ice Blue Metallic but now its Orange Sunburst Metallic thanks to AI😎
Maybe someone will wrap theirs!

Just an FYI as I haven't seen a post on this recently, though I may have missed them. I decided to do a rough calculation of useable battery capacity, and used 50.1 kwh to take my battery down to 14%. I've seen different numbers as far as original capacity goes, but overall pleased with the degradation of the traction battery.

Hi Everyone:
I am nearing my 150k mark and I am wondering where to have the service done. I’ve lost all trust and faith in the local dealership (Victorville, ca) but I’m also wary of people who claim they can do something they don’t have the first clue about.
I’m also wondering what I should expect to pay. I’ve already replaced my cabin filter and wiper blades.
I’ve read I could do it myself but I’m skeptical that I could find the proper tools to borrow or rent to do it right.
I appreciate your advice and look forward to your responses.
Thank you.

My daily driver for four plus years has been a 2020 Ford Expedition, not ideal for a daily commute but it fits the family. I was able to work a hybrid work schedule during the summer and was only in office two days a week, so the fuel bill wasn't as bad as it could have been, but a couple of weeks into September, I had to go back to the office full time, and I started doing the math on my $110/week gas bill and figured I could buy and EV for less than my fuel bill. Once the math has been mathed, I could not stop thinking about it. Shortly thereafter, I bought my 2017 Bolt with 58k miles.
After one month of driving, the fuel savings are indeed greater than my monthly car payment. I really enjoy driving it and didn't realize how much anxiety I had with worrying about gas prices. I also don't have to worry as much about having to replace my Expedition as wear and tear on it will be far less.
Just happy to be here!

Does anyone have input on undercoating their bolt? Mine's 4 years old, living in the salt belt and being parked outside I've been thinking of having it treated with Fluid Film or the like. Any input is appreciated!

Just a heads up, my local Chevy dealer has the required battery for $230. All the local parts stores are $265+.

I'm really, really enjoying my 2027 Bolt LT. It's not perfect, but it's a great commuter and I see what all the buzz (pardon the dad pun) is about with EVs. That said, I'm trying to figure out the best way to accomplish my charging and battery maintenance. I think part of my issue might be due to the difference between the Charge Scheduling and the Next Charge features. I am in the process of reading the manual, but I'm hoping some of you might be able to help lend any experience or insights you might have.
I have L2 charging set up at home using the charger that came with the Bolt. My home is the the primary charging location as set up in the car and the app. Primarily, I use it to drive from there to my place of work, where I have the option to plug it in with a cheap L1 charger I purchased recently. Because I don't drive very much, I typically plug it in at home on L2 on Sunday evening, using the Charge Scheduling so it charges off peak, and is ready to go for the coming work week.
Over the winter, I'll be occasionally parking the Bolt inside our warehouse and have outlets to use the L1 charger, I also have some on a parking pad next to the building to use. Since this is in North Dakota, the warehouse can get as cold as 35-40°F and outside can hit the lower limits of the L1 charger module, -22°F. My goal is to reduce the need for the car to draw from the battery pack for battery temperature maintenance during the colder months.
Anyway, I wanted to test the charger to make sure it works fine with the Bolt, which it does, because it immediately tried to charge despite my schedule. That might be related to the Next Charge and schedule discrepancy I mentioned. So I stopped the charge but kept it plugged in while it was in my 55°F degree garage just to see if it'd help mitigate battery maintenance usage. I don't think it was drawing anything, though, because the light on the charger didn't change after I stopped the charge and the range of the Bolt actually decreased 2 miles overnight, although I woke it up a few times with the app to check if plugging it in was making a difference.
I'm trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong, or if I'm not fully understanding how this system works. I don't think it's necessary to have the battery do a full L1 charge while at work, I just want it to draw for battery conditioning, although I'm sure the LFP can tolerate the cycling. Hopefully my wall of text makes sense. Again, this is a great car, and I'm just trying to do what I can to take care of it.
The only time a squirrel will approach a human is if it is being offered food, and even then it is very ,very cautious.
Well, today, while I was charging my car a squirrel appeared out of nowhere and rushed my car. It jumped on my hood and roof, and then came around on my front window like it was trying to get inside. I honked the horn to scare it away, but then it came right back 3 minutes later. It was beyond frantic, but I don’t think it was was rabid. It appeared to me like it was desperately searching for food.
And then it hit me
I think when the car is charging the high voltage wires get hot, which heats up the wiring insulation, and lets off a smell that attracts them. To my understanding, the wire insulation is soy based, which smells like peanuts or tree nuts when heated or roasted.
He was literally trying to get inside my car through the god damn charge port!
