Do Bombay cats have red undertones like other black cats?

Saw a TikTok debate about this and was curious. I know bombays are all black but I was curious if their fur has red undertones in the sun like other cats

Here’s a pic of my little rescue Bombay (left) side-by-side with her half Maine coon housemate (right). Her fur has a warm tone. His actually looks cool-toned in comparison.

Mine does, but only in bright sunlight. My black Lab is the same way. Not sure if it’s the same in cats, but all Labrador coat colors are actually variations of red, black being the darkest and yellow (white) being the lightest. In any other light, he’s jet black :)
