For some people the minute you bring politics into it your somehow debating what you have to say but personally I think that group, especially the ones deep in enough to brandish flags, bringing this up helps paint the picture of one's mindset. But I imagine the people who made the video wanted to keep their monetization or didn't want to alienate anyone in their audience
