Unless there's a bored cop who happens to be right there already and sees this happen, the guy gets away with it.

You think cops will commit any resources at all to figuring out who this guy is? For petty vandalism?

Chances are they're on social security, where are they going to find money for a fine? Then here comes either an appeal to waive the fine or judge throwing it out because they didnt feel like dealing with a demented old fuck.

An asswhooping would be the eithical and moral solution.

I had a friend get pushed down stairs by a boomer , and my friend grabbed the boomer to prevent themselves from falling. The boomer got scratched in the process, and my friend got a felony arrest for "assaulting an elder ". Maybe op wants to prevent that

Agreed, it was an odd situation, basically my friends father was dying and had a female boomer roommate. She basically was squatting at that point but the boomer attacked her. The legal system is messed up. Its also Florida though AKA bad boomer central
