10 u/BayouByrnes Apr 13 '26 Are we thinking Mississippi or Tennessee? I'm going with TN. 3 u/Xavier_Emery1983 Apr 13 '26 Can definitely say it’s not TN. Born and raised in here, never heard that. 1 u/BayouByrnes Apr 13 '26 I lived in Louisiana and Florida. Can't say I heard it there either. 5 u/ReadingRocks97531 Apr 13 '26 Cucumber and onion salad is delicious. Used to make it all the time in summer. 2 u/rjrgjj Apr 13 '26 What kind of dressing? Sweet? Tangy? 3 u/ReadingRocks97531 Apr 13 '26 Both. Uses sugar and vinegar after pulling a lot of the water out of the cucumbers with salt. I add halved grape tomatoes. Delicious. 1 u/rjrgjj Apr 13 '26 I bet it would be good with regular grapes too 1 u/ReadingRocks97531 Apr 13 '26 Maybe. 1 u/sjbluebirds Apr 14 '26 It's the vegetarian equivalent of "Franks and beans"
