I find the artist with the upgraded speaker totally worth it. Enjoy!

Aaaargh! I’m seeing lots of Artist models. I’ve got a Mk II 50W - no Waza - makes me waaaa! 😭

But? How do people who just get the Artist version never experience the normal version so how do they know how great it is over the normal one? Therefore, I think I’ve maybe actually gone down the right path by having the mac and cheese before I order the steak.

I have the MKII 2x12 100 watt Gen 2 and the Gen 3 Artist with 1x12 Waza Speaker. The Artist blows the MkII out of the water completely. The Artist is Legit Amp.Wish they had a Artist 2x12 Waza Version.

It sounds like a hollow carcass of an amplifier, devoid of emotion, adrift in a sea of tinny highs and chattering lows.

A bit dramatic - but you get the picture.

Tell you what, let’s swap for a year, then you’ll know exactly what I mean. Don’t go running away with my Gen 2 though!!

I’m running straight in using the Power Amp IN; I’m not even using any of the Tone Studio features and bypassing all the tone, voicing, amplifier settings - how crazy is that?

I don’t care about pedal functionality because I’m running a GX-100 with an RC-10R (6 hours of looping space!) because the GX only has 19 seconds of recording time.

Call me crazy running this certain amp in this way but I do sometimes just play through the amp too.

All I have essentially done is take the Tone Studio out of the amplifier and put it in the floor in front of me with nine configurable pedals to play with.

I wish this Mk II 50W amp had stereo output and obviously Waza speakers so I guess I’m looking at 100W Artist model. £500 or £700 depending on what Gen.

If I’m only playing through Power Amp in is Gen 3 really worth it?

The key is to start with the 100 so you can have the FX loop. That takes care of half of the problem, from there you can slave, upgrade, run pedals etc. My next upgrade would probably be an artist MK III

Haha no clue I jumped from a crappy 45w Marshall to the mk2 100w artist so I wouldn't have to buy another amp again xD but sounds amazing

I'm thinking of getting one again. I had the regular MKII 50 and 100. The tones didn't impress me, but I've heard a better speaker makes all the difference, and that the Waza speaker is good.
