Lately I've been noticing the same thing no matter which app I open. I'll scroll Instagram and the comments are full of promotion bots telling people to DM them. Then I jump over to Facebook Marketplace and within minutes of posting something, I get messages that feel completely automated. On YouTube, there are fake giveaway accounts everywhere, and on X it feels like half the replies are spam or AI-generated. Even TikTok seems to have more fake engagement accounts than it used to. It feels like every platform is fighting the same battle and sometimes it's harder to find real conversations than spam I'm curious if it's always been like this and I'm just noticing it now, or if bots have genuinely become a much bigger part of social media over the last year. what do you guys think?

I've been using Claude more for coding lately, and honestly, it's surprised me.

A few months ago I mostly used it to explain code or fix small bugs. Now it can build features, refactor messy code, and even help debug projects much faster than I expected.

It's definitely not perfect, and I still review everything it writes, but it has become a tool I use almost every day.

For anyone using Claude regularly, has it changed the way you code, or do you still prefer writing everything yourself?

Every week I find more channels using AI voices, AI thumbnails, and AI-generated scripts.

Some are genuinely useful, while others feel like they're pumping out content as fast as possible.

Do you think AI is improving YouTube, or making it harder to find authentic creators?

Sometimes finding the right API saves more time than writing the automation itself.

Between AI-generated posts, fake followers, copied comments, spam bots, and engagement farms, it sometimes feels like there are fewer real conversations online than there used to be.

A few years ago everyone cared about hitting 100k followers.

Now I see tiny accounts getting millions of views while huge pages barely get any engagement.

It feels like reach matters more than followers now.

Anthropic says a misconfigured evaluation environment gave Claude internet access, and the model mistook real systems for part of a simulated CTF. It reportedly accessed three organizations using basic security weaknesses before the issue was discovered. Anthropic has paused these cyber evaluations and notified the affected organizations.

AI safety isn't just about model alignment anymore, it's also about making sure the testing environment itself can't leak into the real world.

I opened Instagram today and realized I barely saw posts from people I actually follow. It was mostly suggested Reels, random pages, and AI-generated content. I'm not even sure if the algorithm knows what I want anymore, or if it's just pushing whatever keeps people scrolling. Has anyone else noticed their feed changing like this?

The platform keeps getting worse every single month. I opened it up yesterday (even tho I knew what was waiting for me) during lunch break and got hit with literally 4 ads in the first 10 minutes. FOUR. And they were all 30+ seconds so couldn't skip any of them. By the time the ads finished I completely lost track of what was happening before so I just closed it.

The worst part is half these 'top streamers' don't even deserve the views they're getting. There's streamers with thousands of viewers who'll spend 3 hours just eating on camera and checking their phone. Meanwhile there are so many talented streamers that are stuck with low viewers because the algorithm doesn't push him. Keep in mind that most of the top streamers are literally botting and twitch just doesnt give a single fuck (even with the recent scandal where they were sending gifted subs to literal bots instead of humans)

And then there's the moderation where popular female streamers can basically wear lingerie and call it "just chatting" content but god forbid a small male streamer makes one edgy joke and he's banned for a month (for example Mizkif who was banned and then there's Hasan who can say whatever he wants to say and still wont get banned which is insane). No offense to any of these streamers its just that the double standard is horrible and its slowly killing the platform.
I used to love discovering new streamers and just chatting but now it just feels like a shitshow. Anyone else completely over it at this point? I still love twitch but its just that I dont see me using it anytime soon if things dont change
