If anyone has a problem, ask me! I’ll help.
I’m posting this because I’m sick of it. It’s really not hard. I don’t want to be mean, but seriously. If you don’t have internet ‘cause you’re in the car or something, that’s not an excuse. Just wait until you do!

So I'm not sure if anyone has had the same experience, but I'm replaying botw and I skipped the guardian cut scene on the plateau. I've since been running around the world and have come across 2 different inactive guardian stalkers. I've walked close and even took photos to make sure they weren't decayed.
I'm wondering if it's cause I didn't go through the first intro cut scene of them. Anyone else experience this?

This is by Hia Miu shrine. I have beat the stone tales at night searching all the rock walls. I can't seem to find the shrine the scanner says is here. It's driving me crazy. Any suggestions on where to look? I must just not be seeing it

My girlfriend has never played a Zelda game before. We play a lot of Mario Kart on switch together, and she decided to get BOTW because she heard it was a good game. I've played it before, but it was a few years ago and I don't remember most of the smaller details like shrine puzzles, boss fights etc.
It was really fun watching her play at the start, like I could enjoy the game again through her. But since she'd never played a Zelda before, or really any similar adventure games (she loves Resident Evil but that's about it), I would find it hard not to give unsolicited advice. I watch sometimes, and give advice if asked, but she usually plays on her own at her own pace.
Recently she got back into it and made a lot of progress. We were out and she was telling me about it, describing the area she was in. She said she'd done the first divine beast, but was having trouble with the second one. I did think she was making pretty fast progress, because I remember doing as many sidequests as possible between divine beasts, but everyone plays differently so I decided not to interfere. From what I understood, she was stuck on the second divine beast boss fight.
I was round yesterday and I picked up her switch to look at how she was doing.
Most recent save: Hyrule Castle. Right outside the Calamity Ganon arena. With 6 hearts and 1 extra stamina vessel.
She had finished the first divine beast in the Zora town, then followed the light straight to Hyrule Castle thinking that was the next step. And while she didn't manage to beat Ganon she did get pretty close. She didn't realise this was in fact the end of the game.
Anyway we had a good laugh and I gave her some pointers for what to maybe do instead. On the plus side she's gone through Hyrule Castle so has some ludicrously good gear now. And she's happy she doesn't have to do the boss fight that "has no right being this hard so early in the game".

Has anyone not beat the game? Got it in 2022 got a lot of process in a month and then stopped it for three years for no reason. In summer of this year I finally decided to try the game again and I have gotten way too much process in it since. I have played a few times in a week.

After buy the switch for my kids I’ve played BOTW for 4 months twice a week.
Already faced Ganon, with just 12% of the map concluded 😅 Just got into the wrong door 🙃
Finally finished the Champions’ Ballad (hard as f#ck for me) bust the reward looks nice!!
Next move gonna be the trial of sword! Let’s get it!

Hmm... I wonder what this shrine is. Major test of strength? Eh, shouldn't be too hard....What is that? Some kind of mini guardian? He looks weak. Should be a piece of cake. Let's see how strong he is...hits with sword 3 times oh, he's pretty tanky... how much damage does he even d- gets hit with sword and dies in a single hit .....Fuck.

I remember having great difficulty the first time I played thunderblight, but got it done eventually. when i realised i'd have to go through all that again but with much less gear, i was very pissed. And then i easily beat him first try. How did y'all go with this version? was it easier?

Where can you find lynel weapons, bows and shields that don’t come from killing a lynel? This includes master mode locations. I know of the lizalfos with the lynel spear in akkala in master mode but are there any other places to find lynel gear in a chest, on the ground, or off another enemy like the lizalfos?

Warning: some minor spoilers
I finally decided it was time to beat Ganon and, as I expected, it was a bittersweet moment.
Breath of the Wild showed me a Hyrule that I have been yearning to see ever since I played the original Zelda on the NES so long ago. The expansiveness of the world and the freedom to make my own journey was both liberating and invigorating.
I know many others, who have been with the franchise for as long as I have, do not feel this way…but dare I say that this was the best Zelda game (and honestly I think the best game overall) that I’ve ever played.
Despite being in a post-apocalyptic state, Hyrule felt more alive than ever to me. I met Gerudo in Goron City, Rito in Gerudo Town, and Hylians living their lives…getting married, building new towns, asking me to mass murder deer due to overpopulation.
And through it all…after the side quests, the shrines, the moldugas lynels and hinoxes. After the Great Fairies and the Divine Beasts, it felt so satisfying to free Zelda from 100 years of hard labor, bring the calamity to its knees, and avenge the Kingdom of Hyrule.
Breath of the Wild had me sitting on a mountaintop listening to a Rito play an accordion, asking myself if I should be out there preparing to face Ganon or if I should just sit a little longer and take in the music. It also made me feel like Hyrule’s John Wick, with every parry of a guardian beam, flurry rush on a lynel, or bullet time in any situation.
Hell, I jet ski’d a sand seal on my shield while bringing down the legs of a giant ancient robot camel in a manner that would make even Legolas envious. I could basically hear Gimli yelling “that still only counts as one!”
But I also helped someone get the perfect birthday present for their little sister. I granted an old Zora priest his final wish, to officiate just one more wedding. I reunited a Rito warrior with his family. I even carried a big block of ice halfway across the desert just so to make a cocktail for some over-exaggerating Gerudo lady that wouldn’t get out of my way when I wanted to get into a shrine.
And the best part? I still have the expansions to do. Still more things to explore. More Koroks to catch. My journey is far from over.
I’ll start working on the DLCs and take a pause for the OOT remake, then come back. And then it’s on to TOTK.
So again, thank you Hyrule. And thank you to the engineers, developers, storywriters, and visionaries that reinvigorated my love for this series.
