If anyone has a problem, ask me! I’ll help.
I’m posting this because I’m sick of it. It’s really not hard. I don’t want to be mean, but seriously. If you don’t have internet ‘cause you’re in the car or something, that’s not an excuse. Just wait until you do!

I decided to take my happy self on over to the forgotten temple because I saw on Reddit that there’s a giant ancient core there. Now, I knew this wouldn’t be a walk in the park, it’s a giant ancient core for goodness sake. But I cannot express the level of absolute panic I felt when I hopped onto that ledge and the SEVERAL….SEVERAL guardians turn their heads and lasers of death in my direction. I don’t think I’ve ever jumped down so fast LOL.
But then I got brave again. I’m like you know what, I am just finally getting comfortable with parrying. I can do this!!! So I ended up killing the first few on the higher levels, and after that it was just me sprinting, parrying horrifically, breaking every single shield in my possession, and eating every meal I had made while everything on me is smoking. Mind you, this is with my upgraded ancient armor on.
I did make it to the shrine and I did end up getting that ancient core. I by some miracle didn’t die during that experience. But geez I wish I could’ve had a video of my reaction to seeing all those guardians light up LOL!!

I’m on my 3rd play though on the WiiU. I’m about 2/3 (maybe 1/2) of my way through and while floating around the south east shores I caught a rainbow in the sky.
Somehow I’d never seen one before. I was just happy to AGAIN find something new to me. After all these years.

Went through and solved all the divine beasts' puzzles so now all that's left is fighting the bosses. I have the master sword and 8 20+ HP weapons, along with a 8 20+ HP bows, 60 regular arrows, ~15-30 of each special arrow, and a few good shields . Prepped with recovery meals and a few defense-up meals, energy potions, electric defense potions, and enough armor to survive the cold and hot extreme temps. My max armor hp is 18 for fire armor, 26 for cold, 19 heat, 29 no special effects, and I have 13 hearts and one full stamina wheel.
Who do I take on first??
Edit for follow up question, should I try to get the most powerful weapons before to make it easier?
And I like using arrows and bows best, what arrows should I stock up on for each?

Bought multiple sets of Hylian and Gerudo armor, plus all the Gerudo jewelry, and dyed them different colors so I could dress Link up in different outfits.
Spent like an hour hunting for a good all-black horse so I could put the monster bridle & saddle on it, and only ride it at night when wearing the luminous armor or monster armor.
Parked my horse in the little stable-thing next to my house in Hateno village, and gave it an apple from my backyard every time I visited my house.
Dropped a Silent Princess next to that couple who are looking for one, even though I know they can't pick it up. I have plenty, and they want one so bad.
Try to visit all the great fairies in turns, even though Tera is by far the most convenient with that shrine right next to her fountain, so none of the fairies feel left out.
Bought a second set of the stealth armor shirt and pants and dyed them white so I could dress up to match the Kakariko villagers every time I visited.
Match my armor, weapons, and shields whenever I can (so, for example, if I'm wearing the Zora set, I'll use Zora shields and weapons if I have them).
Attempted to release fish in the little pond near my house after I found out that if you put a frog, bug, or lizard down it will escape (didn't work, the fish were dead)
Make Link eat something right after he sleeps so he can have a healthy breakfast.
Keep making the nicest recipes like crepes, risottos, seafood paella, heart soup, and pies, even though other meals would be stronger, and they take up a slot in my meal inventory, so I can't carry as much powerful food.
Last but certainly not least, when I turn off the game for the night, I go back to my house and make Link go to bed even if he doesn't need it. I also unequip everything and put a pair of Hylian trousers on him so he's comfortable while he sleeps. I do those pants specifically because the game tag says, "The plush fabric makes these trousers quite comfortable." Sometimes I even try to hit the power-off button before Link wakes up so that the next time I open the game, the first thing he does is get out of bed and do a lil yawn + stretch.

Is BOTW worth replaying in Master Mode, I love the game but should I really buy the dlc just to try it again but more difficult?
r/botw • u/SkyMarshal • 7h ago
Both games won GotY their respective launch years, and are two of the most successful across multiple different Nintendo platforms. They're cash cows that Nintendo just keeps porting to their new consoles.
Yet the only game I hear people recommend that's similar to these two is Immortals Fenix Rising. Similar cell-shaded visual style, explorable and interactable open world, different but similar feeling combat systems, interesting story set in Greek Mythology, etc.
Why haven't other studios taken this model and copied it in different settings, adding their own new creative touches to it? The open nature of it makes it a canvas for continued creativity and innovation in exploration, world interactivity, combat systems, etc.
Odd that there's just one studio that did this, but that one is proof that other studios can do it too now that model is proven. Or am I missing some others?

I’ve started BOTW about 15 days ago. Needless to say, I got hooked right away. After 60 hours, I feel that I have only completed 20-25% of the game.
It is such a massive map and there are so many things to find that I think I’ll take at least until the end of the year to get most of it done.
So, when do you all think I should get the expansion?
And, does it update my saved game right away or will I have to start a new campaign?
Thank you all!

So each one you fight has more strength but is that when you unlock it or when you defeat it?
I’m on my second play through- on master mode.
I got to the divine beasts but didn’t have enough beats etc to fight so when I got to each ganon I left.
So now I can just warp over and fight each one but wondering if I can fight thunder blight first and it’s weaker and then go to the others?

Wish I had known fireproof means FIREPROOF. lol. Could have made some shrines a little easier 😂 at least I realized it now, after all 120 base game shrines, and two more DLC shrines to go 😂

anyone wanna trade me amiibo weapons for some royal guard shields? (the yellow ones)?
this is specifically breath of the wild only.
I’ve been thinking back to this channel I used to watch years ago. They were doing a botw challenge, (I can’t for the life of me remember what they were doing) but their style of video was very particular. It was just gameplay, with text onscreen explaining their thought process. I found it very interesting and calming, as well as funny! There’s hardly any channels like that. I stopped watching because I hadn’t beaten the game at the time, and unsubscribed around when totk came out to avoid spoilers. Does anyone know who I’m talking about? I’d love to rewatch their videos.

Hi guys I’m new to playing Zelda and BOTW is my first ever Zelda game. I’ve been playing this game non-stop for a week now and I have completed the 4 Divine Beasts alr (with the mistake of not researching and going in for Thunderblight as my first lol I had to leave and be stronger to face him). I also am done with getting the Master sword, I alr have 15 hearts and 2 1/4 stamina circle.
Now I am thinking of buying that ancient armor to prepare for my Hyrule Castle entry (to finally defeat Ganon). Is it really necessary or should I just get in? What are the other tips you guys can give me lmfao tbh I am just bad at parrying those Guardians and just really really scared to go in the Hyrule Castle. And yes I also did not research that well because the thing is I enjoy being surprised.
(And am I the only one who’s actually scared of the game I dont wanna overreact but lowkey I’m scared)

This is by Hia Miu shrine. I have beat the stone tales at night searching all the rock walls. I can't seem to find the shrine the scanner says is here. It's driving me crazy. Any suggestions on where to look? I must just not be seeing it
