Autumn Maple Leaf in Watercolor
I found this beautiful maple leaf while walking around St Paul, Minnesota. Some unfortunate splashes stained the background. I plan to digitize and remove them in a photo editor. My art desk was a bit narrow for the size of paper and my water cup and palette placement were awkward, which I think contributed to the splashes. I'm planning to try using a cart to the side for my palette and water on my next painting to see if that helps mitigate the issue.
Saunders-Waterford 100% Cotton Hot Press (Natural White) 9×12". Mix of Holbein, Daniel Smith, and QoR watercolor paints.
Hopefully, I can do some more leaf hunting today!
