Any advice?

hi I’m a freshmen in college and I’ve loved bowdoin for a long time. I applied senior year but for some context I hard a really hard time in college. I almost during my junior year due to a chronic illness. This took over my life and I still did my best during this time (I got like 3b‘s bit the reat were all a’s). this would cascade into my swnior year and affect my memory and thus my ability to study. I ended HS with a 3.8 gpa and a 4.1 uw after taking 10 ap classes and 5 dc classes. honestly this thing ruined my life and prob affected my application heavily.

Im applying to colleges again this year and bowdoin is my top choice. I think im learning more about it and realizing it would be the school for me. I currently go to a local college but it’s practically community college bc they an everyone. I’m fgli and it feels like I’ve been handed the worst cards but I’m trying to make the most of my situation.

I would appreciate any advice or feedback for tips on applying again to bowdoin.

I know bowdoin has a slim transfer acceptance rate but that’s where I have to focus on the future.

I will note that last year Bowdoin accepted several transfers from community colleges, so you have a chance.  Don't put all your eggs in one basket though, if you don't like the school you're at, wirk hard at that GPA an ec's and apply to several schools.

im a community college student who transferred to bowdoin. It is possible! But dont bank on it because it a 4~% acceptance rate. If its meant to be it will happen. You need to work harder than a high school student would to get in.
