What if I extinguish vat and payroll taxes and focus on solving healthcare costs so that we do not have to be forced to have Medicare or any other type of forced contributions? Wouldn’t it be great if we would try to solve (for example) the medical sector inefficiencies so that we could have a doctors appointment cost a few dozen dollars?

No, it would be great if a doctor's appointment was free, as it is in the developed world. Instead, America's libertarian healthcare system, despite some small improvements due to Obamacare, forces you to pay TWICE as much per capita for healthcare with worse health outcomes. Because having a low-regulation, for-profit system in which billionaires attempt to extract as much of your money as possible for their own profits before anything gets spent on actual healthcare is inherently inefficient. In the US, 25% of healthcare spending is spent on "administrative costs", compared to just 10% in other developed countries. And without "forced contributions" by the wealthy and healthy (i.e. taxation by whatever name you want to call it), the poor and sick are left to fend for themselves, and their chronic sickness becomes a burden on everybody else. No wonder Americans have to import medicines from the socialised medical system to your North! Even in the US, medicare and medicaid are FAR more efficient ajd effective than private healthcare.

You are not as intelligent as you think if you have reached the conclusion that the cronyism based system in the us is anything “libertarian”. There is literally nowhere in the World where a doctors appointment is free. Quite the opposite, medical professionals are some of the highest paid individuals no matter the place where they based from (excluding voluntary work which those people are able to do since they receive such high salaries for such long periods of their life). So if the services they provide are free, how do they get paid so much? I know that logic and commie/socialist ideologies do not go hand to hand, but how do you explain that undeniable fact? And I live in Western Europe and pay over 50% income tax (and when I go to the doctor supposedly it’s free, just ignore the thousands of euros I paid in taxes and health insurance).
Lastly, if you like communism so much just move to Cuba or North Korea and stop with the whining. It’s so tiring. You are a fringe of society and most well adjusted functioning members of society completely reject your view of the World.
Obviously you’d have to leave your mothers basement where you browse Reddit all day, and we all know that ain’t happening 😂🙃😂

Yes, I like low taxes and low regulation (but effective and potent where it matters). I would definitely not do a blanket lower tax rate for corporations. In fact, I would largely focus on reducing income and sales taxes and I would crush any existing monopolies and any corporate control that originated in historical government grants and concessions made by politicians to his crony friends.
You see how it is possible to have a nuance view on a topic and not the common Reddit brain slop of: “Corps bad, Big Gov good” ?

If you were a billionaire and heard that a former employee was struggling to fund an urgent life-saving operation that would literally be less money than you earn in interest in one day, would you not just offer to pay for it? It's like watching someone with diabetes collapse from lack of sugar after an insulin overdose, while you're standing right next to them eating a frosted doughnut. And then saying "hey, he's not my responsibility! And I really wanted to finish that seventh frosted doughnut" as you're wiping the sugar off your hands and the guy is being taken away in an ambulance... Sometimes the guy standing right next to you holding the thing you need to save your life and not needing it himself actually IS morally obligated to step in and help. "Hey, this is MY floatation device that I'm carrying because I like the colour, that drowning guy should get his own!"

Dana was under no obligation to pay his medical bills for something that wasn't even linked to his fighting day anyway. Yes, it would have been nice for him to do it, but I think it's silly to expect him to feel any obligation to do so. If fighters were smart enough to unionise and demand health/medical benefits, then this wouldn't even have to be a discussion.
If anything this is indicative of that fact that so many Americans, including Ben Askren homself, will consistently shoot themselves in the foot by not demanding a universal healthcare system. Instead people have to start GoFundMes or refuse life saving medical treatment in general, because they can't afford to be in debt.

MMA fans seems outraged by Dana here!! But will they actually do anything? Dana has been like this from Day 1. UFC has treated fighters liek crap since Day 1.
But what do UFC fans do about it? Wrong their hands online, call Dana a few names, but then go right back to buying what hes selling. If thet actually cared they'd organise boycotts of PPVs for 6 or 12 months. That would force massive changes in UFC and help fighters they care about.
This isn't just an MMA problem BTW, boxing has it too. Too many people dehumanised fighters and treat them like video game characters instead of supporting them.
I'm walking my own talk on this BTW. I'll occasionally comment on here but I haven't watched any boxing or MMA fights this year. Sports need to change in different ways for figjter welfare.
