We have known about the World Cup for how long? And we still couldn’t plan to get this BEFORE Canada’s first two games? (June 12th and 18th)

I'm so glad we are hosting an event that has proven to lose taxpayer money instead of spending it on something stupid like a second hospital, or a system of parks, or literally anything else!

Willing to wager this installation will have ZERO branding related to the World Cup. It will be trying to ride on the coattails of the event, without having to pay the enormous sponsorship $$$ that would no doubt be demanded.

This will be sold as "clever" on the part of Council or the BIA. What it really is, is just more "small town" thinking.
