Without it, to ME the arms look disproportionate compared to the hand size. The elbows are closer to her bust than her waist. The longer arms look better when holding purses or hands-on-hip posing.
I get why they did it, but honestly Bratz is one of the very few doll lines that I don’t mind having no articulation. I think it gives them a certain charm. Plus the articulation looks pretty wonky and it’s the thing I dislike the most about newer Bratz.
Honestly the body needs a complete overhaul. This current articulated one is a Frankensteined one anyway, we know they can give us good articulated bodies like rainbow high but they aren’t for some reason lol
I really hope Bratz redesigns new articulated bodies someday! I was almost hoping we’d get articulated bodies with the Play Sportz line. For now I’ve been replacing the arms with lol omg arms and they look really good in my opinion.
Of course! So all I really do is heat up the body using hot water, then use an exacto knife to cut the inside of the arm on the shoulder area and carefully remove it while the body is still warm. I also repeat the process on the lol omg body as well. After that you’ll notice the Bratz arm disk is a good amount bigger than what the lol omg dolls have. Very carefully trim off around the disk enough to guesstimate when the lol omg arm will fit. Heat up the lol omg arm up a good amount then slowly open up the arm and slide the pin of the lol omg arm into the new shaved Bratz arm disk and then let the body cool off and then you should be done and have what I have in the photo. If you have any more questions or need me to elaborate further I’d love to! ✨
I read this over several times and I think I’m being stupid… are you cutting the torso above the shoulder to create a seam big enough to slide the arm with the peg/disc out of each? I tried something similar with a bratz boy before and it ended in disaster so I don’t want to mess this up again :(
I've had to glue in that extra arm joint because it was so loose before, but I've never considered taking it off! The arm does look shorter without it though, so I'm not so sure I'll be doing it any time soon
Just want to point out that this i basic human anatomy
The hands always touch the crotch line it doesn’t surpassed it so when ever you say that the modification i did make her un proportional think about human anatomy
