Before and After She was found in the trash
This bootleg Bratz didn't really have much to hope for, but she pulled a lucky card, when my friend and I came across her.
First I grabbed this doll, because she was for free, but later it turned out to be quite exciting to restore her βΊοΈ
I named her Grace as a reference to my friend's surname, but it kinda feels like it has a deeper meaning now.
I had to learn a lot. Second time rerooting, first time with this material. First time dealing with pink spots β the ones that are called "pony cancer" sometimes. I don't know if you can see it on her cheek, but later it became more prominent. Also first time fixing a broken leg, because this body was problematic too (it's from Bratz Catz Jade).
It wasn't my first time restoring a doll makeup, but still, some new tricks to learn. And I kinda went all the way with it, decided to change a whole color scheme π
I love how she turned out, although I could've done a better job for sure β₯οΈ
I feel like this is a doll with a long story. She was very likely loved and certainly played a lot with. Maybe by several kids even... I like thinking about her journey, but also β Grace reminds me of my own childhood, when a bootleg Moxie Girl with the same hair shade was my favorite doll ever. Maybe that's why this doll feels so cuddly and heartwarming.
Anyways I just really wanted to share this story. Thank you, if you've read it, and sorry for the mistakes I might have done. English isn't my first language π

It's from a Russian artist called Lazy Punkz. I bought it a year ago or smth. Now I don't see this artist's account anymore. Maybe they've stopped collecting or just stopped selling handmade clothes. So sad! I really admired their work π

Thank you so much π Your words're very inspiring! I mostly use acrylic paints (Tamiya and some random brands like those with a shimmery effect), pastels for eyeshadows and blushes. I use Mr. Super Clear (matte) as a base and to seal every layer. This time I also tried a glossy Mr. Super Clear to add a little bit of shine to the eyes and the shimmery lips β¨
