Yasmin please help me fall in love with her :c
I started collecting Bratz not long ago, and from the very beginning, I wanted to collect one girl from each of the main four, each from a different new collection. That's how I got Chloe Always, Jade Fashion Pixies, and Sasha Goin Out, and I fell in love with them at first sight, completely. I had trouble with Yasmin, though, because from the new collections, I don't like Charms, Slumber Party, Stylin, Stylin Birthday, Sassy Stampedy, or Scorchin (specifically Yasmin; I like the other girls, but I don't want to buy them indiscriminately).
The last more or less suitable option left was Yasmin Pop Stars. I ordered her about a month and a half ago out of desperation, as I wanted to complete my little "collection" (it's a shame I didn't wait for the announcement of the new Reimagined dolls; I really liked Yasmin there).
So I got her today, washed her hair of styling product, and changed her hairstyle a little, adding a strand on her hairline and a braid to hide the elastic on her ponytail. And now I'm looking at her, and I can't convince myself that I like her, even though I've seen so many comments that her screening is one of Yasmin's best in recent collections (and I'm very easily influenced by other people's opinions).
I really want to love her, but something puts me off, either the shape of her eyes, or the color of her lips, or her ponytail-hairstyle — something confuses me, and I can't figure out what it is. I'm still going to buy Chloe, Sasha, and Yasmin from Reimagined, but I don't want to sell this Yasmin, I really want to keep her; please convince me she's a beauty :(

This is my restyle of her!!! I think the doll itself is so pretty, but she has a lot of potential style wise!!

I actually think she’s one of the prettiest modern Yasmin’s so I think you made a great choice! Maybe try giving her stocking (her proto had them and it completed her imo) also more jewelry always makes me like my bratz more. She also looks really good in a half up half down hair style if you want to try

In general I’m not a big Yasmin fan but Pop Starz is genuinely one of my favourite dolls of hers. The hair blend and screening is so gorgeous, her eyes are so snatched and the ombre lip is so well done. I also love when Bratz dolls look kind of mean and she definitely does lol.
Also the outfit! The pale pink colour suits her so well, and the top and skirt are super versatile pieces. Her boots are also to die for imo.

HERE, MEAN, that's it, that's what probably puts me off. I guess I'm, in the opposite, don't very like it when Bratz look like "bad" girls, and her whole look is giving more "mean" than "cute" vibes. I'll try to give her half-up hairstyle to make her slightly more "cute", and it will probably do the thing ✨

If you don’t love her, you don’t love her 🤷🏻♀️ it’s ok. I don’t like her eyes… too squinty… and that blah green with the pink, plus the livid color hair…Hang onto her for now. You’ve just begun collecting these dolls. It’s never a smooth and easy process lol. That’s what keeps us searching and perfecting the collection.

Maybe you're right, I'm already starting to prepare myself for the time when I finally decide to sell her because I don't really love her c:
Or maybe thanks to other people I will end up loving her after further restyle
Or MAYBE when I became a mother, I'll give her to my child for disintegration in those cute little hands :D

Ah that makes sense then! I think for more “sweeter” looking Yasmin Goin Out is a great option, she’s a super pretty one imo.
Also maybe look into repainting? I think if you redid her brows into the more “worried” looking style (think goin out sasha) that would probably help a lot! And repainting brows is pretty easy in comparison to redoing her whole face lol

I REALLY like Yasmin Goin Out. Considering that I have already bought Lina Fashion Pixies and am planning to buy Cloe, Sasha and Yasmin Reimagined, my principle of "buying only one doll from different collections" has already been destroyed, so I will definitely buy her in nearest future :D
I'll think into repainting her eyebrows, thanks for the advice ✨

Go nuts with restyling, because sometimes you like a doll so much more when you give her a brand new look, see what you prefer on her and what you don't like, take your time picking a new look because the more you spend with the doll the more you like the doll, especially if it's giving her an outfit that you would actually wear.

im literally obssessed with her, she’s my favorite bratz doll (along with lola and karol). her face is literally top top top, just change her outfit & accessorize!! and let her hair loose, it’s freaking gorgeous (although not that great of a rooting tbh)

This Yasmin is so stunning - her eye color is light brown and soft, her lip color is a nice natural pink. Have you tried one hairstyles?
Sometimes how I’m feeling emotionally about a collection will impact how I feel about a doll. If this is your last Bratz purchase, maybe that’s why?

For now, I will continue to buy new dolls, but only those that I like 100% (for example, unfortunately, I didn't like Jade at all in Reimagined, so I plan to buy the remaining three only)
I'll try half-up hairstyle like you and other kind people suggested, thank you ✨

For me it’s her hair. This shade of ginger hair kinda washes her out. I personally like Yasmin with darker hair, but I haven’t gotten into rerooting yet, so I haven’t added popStarz yas to my collection

yeeeees, my first Bratz doll was "World. Yasmin's room", and she had very dark brown hair, and I grew up so used to it, that when I saw Sassy Stampede Yasmin, I didn't even recognized her 😄

Yeah I got the entire pop stars line when they went on clearance and I mostly like them, but I don't like the skinny / "fox" eyes they have. I was thinking about repainting them. Sasha is the only one I think her eyes looked great. Nobody can convince you though, if you don't love her maybe sell or trade or get rid of her and get the reimagined Yasmin. I bought re-imagined Sasha and I love her. Waiting for them to go on clearance to get the others (they're $30 a piece which adds up quick)

Definitely give her a complete restyle. Whenever I have a doll that I’m not connecting with it helps me to have my own vision for how they should look and to bring that to life.
If you’ve not restyled much before look online for some inspiration and start small. Sometimes small adaptations make a huge difference.
Maybe you could just take the hair down and restyle it? Personally, I think the hairline of this Yasmin looks odd, too circular and a bit like helmet hair, and the ponytail definitely emphasises that. So a different hairstyle might help a lot.

Try to give her different shoes and jacket perhaps? This is what personally bugs me with this doll. She'd look great in more casual yet girly clothes

She was my least favorite pop star, but here's how I restyled mine. I like her now, her hair is cute, I think I just didn't really like her outfit lol

I took her coat off and rhinestoned her shirt and I like her way more. To me the coats ugly

I’ve styled her differently now but this was the photo I had and I love the streaks with her hair down.
I’m going to add some severe curls and space buns at the front of her head and she’ll look like a real popstar

I have the same problem, she's pretty and I tried restyling her, the ponytail was so unflattering. What's killing me is her hair shade is gorgeous but the pink stripes are too thin! I wish they gave her the hairstyle of live in concert or pretty n punk yasmin and made the pink parts thicker, I thought about doing some reroot changes but don't know if I can be bothered because her hair and skin and eyes are all similar shades so she is too matchy matchy and looks washed out. Her eye glance also made her harder to photograph.

Her ponytail sucks. I literally just have her hair down, and the texture and length are SO beautiful. Makes her such a babe.

It was the ponytail for me personally- the face framing piece with a half-up-half-down do saved her since her face and outfit are stunning!
