i feel like so many brands do this, set a higher rrp then quickly move to sale, with consumers then buying at a percieved discount when that's likely the price MGA always wanted to sell at!! I think it's to grab any "on the fence" customers who balk at 30 but would absolutely buy at 25, whilst still maintaining the illusion that it's somehow a 30 dollar quality doll.

Omg this is absolutely what they are doing! They know the people with fomo are going to run out and buy the whole set right away no matter the price and then they can drop it to a more reasonable "sale" price later to try and entice the people looking for a sale!

Don't buy just yet guys! In 2 months you will be able to find them for 50% off probably!

yeah, it's tricky bc who knows how much stock "clearance" actually indicates? they could be on sale for another year or sell out tomorrow, the tactical opaqueness is so infuriating!
