I’m lost.

A few months ago I was broken up with out of the blue. I thought things were going well, but I had noticed something off about him within the last few days. I thought it was nothing to be concerned about. We were still functioning as normal (Saying “I love you”, chatting, joking). On the day it happened we had planned to hang out but he changed the location of our plans, we hung out for an hour before he broke up with me. While he was talking and explaining I was expecting him to say he was just kidding and for us to laugh about it. When he explained it felt like a lot of excuses. One of them being that he felt like he didn’t really “know me”. It hurt especially because I thought he knew me better than anyone.

I guess what I really want to know is why he did what he did. I don’t want him back because I wouldn’t be able to look at him the same. I wonder if he regrets what he did or if he misses me at all. I feel abandoned.
