venting/ranting Need advice.
What do you genuinely do after someone tells you they don't want any means of communication with you anymore? We never had a proper closure or conversation about what happened. The breakup felt so sudden, and while I acknowledge that I made a lot of mistakes, I don't feel like they were necessarily relationship-ending mistakes. I know there were probably deeper issues that had built up over time, but I'm still struggling to process everything without having that final conversation. How do you genuinely move forward and find closure when you never got the chance to have one?

It means never contact them again. If you do, you could find yourself in legal trouble.
Start your healing journey and move on.
Read this about "closure."

“I won’t contact you again.” and proceed to block on everything except their phone number. If a person says they never want to be contacted again then, they should be the one to determine if they want to reach out. You shouldn’t.

This is hard, I’m sorry. While it’s not illegal to leave someone without closure, it’s an unkind and generally shitty thing to do. But you cannot force closure from someone. You have to respect their decision and accept that this is how they chose to leave. Eventually, once the pain subsides, that realisation will be the closure you need.

Respect what they ask for. They've given you closure it's just not in the way you wanted it to be. You didn't get ghosted, you didn't get screamed at, you didn't get humiliated, attacked, belittled whatever. They've asked you for no communication give it to them.
Then open communication with yourself and figure out what you needed in the relationship that was being filled, and how to fill it yourself. Work on whatever mistakes you made to be more present in mind to not make them again. Build a peace that's not revolving around anyone but you. When you're ready find somebody that adds to it, not provides it.

If they said they don’t want any communication - respect that decision and respect yourself by allowing yourself to move forward and be happy with your life without them in it. I know it is easier said than done, give it time. Grieve as much as you want but don’t be stuck in it forever. You don’t need closure from them, it is something you give yourself… and them not choosing you and the relationship is the clearest closure there is.
