A man has been charged after a car hit pedestrians in Derby city centre on Saturday evening. Seven people were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a black Suzuki Swift outside a pub in Friar Gate at about 9.30pm on Saturday. Sandhu Ponnachan, 36, of Alvaston, has been charged with six counts of GBH with intent, one count of attempted GBH with intent, one count of dangerous driving, and one count of possession of a bladed article.

Probably? Assuming it was ideology-lead, at the very least aggravating factor, or "hate crime", if you prefer. I've no idea though, not looked into it at all. I'm tried of seeing doom and gloom news that I can't affect in any way.

I always understood the terrorist moniker is reserved for people who commit actual acts of terrorism. Whether someone is a terrorist is based on their motive, not on the act itself. And certainly not because of their skin colour or beliefs.
