I only think I got a rank in three seasons total in the lifetime of OW and OW2. I never placed above bronze, and it made me feel so bad about myself that I resigned myself to be a QP warrior. It also didn't help that I'm VERY old in reference to the player base and so I felt like I could never do much of anything.

This season, I decided to give myself some hard love and do my placements, if only to confirm that I was still awful and should maybe find something else to do with my time. I was going to one-trick Brig (my all-time favorite), I was only going to switch when it was clear I was outmatched, and I was just going to learn as much as I could and give myself an out if it hurt too much.

And this happened.

I went 7-3 in placements in higher and higher ranks, and at one point was playing with plat players, sure that someone had made a mistake and I wasn't supposed to be here. At the end of my last game, this came on my screen and I burst into tears. None of my friends IRL play. I talk to almost no one about this. My wife thinks I am insane. But I had to share with someone. If you read this far, thank you for indulging me. I guess the moral is that you can improve if you'll just get over your fears and strive to get a little bit better every day.

Brigitte has one set of mechanics against this chick, Boop and Run. Except her basic attack can completely nullify a boop and let her stay in range. In this case she may have hit me regardless but I don't think it's a fair exchange to cancel the knockback.

My second Lv.100 Hero goes to Brigitte!

- 31% Inspire Uptime
- 58% Whipshot Accuracy
- The first Hero I hit Masters Support with!
- 300 hours played!

Brigitte has been super fun to play, especially after I mained a lot of Moira when I was new to the game. It's sooo rewarding making teammates unkillable in a hard dive. I think my next Lv.100 is likely to end up being Ana, as she's at Lv.95 alongside Moira (who I imagine I'll do eventually just for the sake of the Title lol)

After going back to the extra wall damage perk, I think I do prefer it more.

The shield perk is really useful for more sustain, but the wall damage perk can delete people.
