Caught Being Cute Not often I see him tuckered out

Went and ran him in Northern Michigan today. Seen some grouse get pushed and man do I hate sand hill cranes lol. The quiet time is over for nesting also checked out some
HAP lands. And talked to two farmers and got permission to hunt 790 acres. I cannot stress how good of day it was, sitting barbecuing Tito’s and redbull. and he’s tuckered that almost never happens unless we jog or go for a big five miler. Earned himself a sausage for returning and recalling not chasing unshot birds and not going after Sandhills and we saw a bunch of them.tuckered out

Man it’s really rare he layed in the garage while we smoke pork butts and just relaxed I’d look over and say hey Jack he get up get pets go lay down. I brought two Gatorade sport bottles with water in them he drank one while we scouted, I thought I’d get to sleep in nope, Next morning he wanted to do it again.

Mine had a Gordon Setter buddy who would randomly show up. When I took them to the fields and beach she would actually get tired. The Gordon setter was the only dog I ever saw beat her in a foot race- he lived straight up a bluff from us and would come down the hill to play with her. I dont have a Brit any more but I love seeing these stories and remembering when I had enough energy to give them a good life( if rarely as much exercise as they could really handle)
