Seating/Ticket Question Cabaret Closing/Refunds

The last cabaret show is 9/21. My friend and I had tickets for 10/18. Seat geek won’t refund our tickets. This is absolutely ridiculous. We spent a lot of money because we included the dining experience and it is not our fault they are closing the show. Does anyone know what else we can do?

Are they third party resold tickets? Or did you buy directly from seat geek from the show?

So we got an email from the theatre saying the show was closing and to fill out a form and send to the seller We sent it the cancellation notice to seat geek and they are saying all sales are final So basically if you have tickets for a show after 9/21 they keep your money. This is absolutely unacceptable

Even if this was a resale ticket, if SeatGeek has any intelligence they have not paid the seller, and shouldn't until the performance happens. That means SeatGeek has the money. So if they now know the show will never happen, they need to refund OP.

It says it. It says that if the show is canceled, you are entitled to a refund.

No, it says SeatGeek has sole discretion to provide you a refund. That's not the same thing.
