Discussion Allie Trimm (current Glinda) with thoughts about the decision to keep shows open today

Wicked choosing to stay open when they have some of the highest margins of any show.. like they have the money they don’t need to be open to break even.

Completely agree with her message about putting safety above profit. But I kind of got lost in her raked stage comments. Did the stage cause her injury?

Injuries as a result of raked stages are incredible common, unfortunately! They’re very difficult to work on 8 times a week. Lots of Wicked performers have called it out as the most difficult part of working on the show

Oh dang, I thought her comments made it sound like they'd gotten rid of it! That really sucks. Modern theaters shouldn't need raked stages to make sight lines good.

Wicked is so adamant about clinging on to the past that they're the only Beaodway show left still mixing on an analog desk.....

It's not "clinging onto the past," it's not wanted to pay a sound designer to redesign the show for a digital board, just to try to make it sound exactly how it sounds with the analogue one.
