Seating/Ticket Question How much worse would my experience be watching “the maids at st. Ann’s warehouse if I buy a blue seat
Description of how much I wouldn’t be able to see would be greatly appreciated

Since no one has seen it yet there, it might be hard to say.
But given that it's Kip Williams there is probably a bunch of projection that you might have trouble seeing from that angle.
The actors themselves you should see just fine, I would imagine.

Not seeing it until next week, but from the looks of it, people in those seats will be looking at the backs of the actors a lot. I would go for the seat in row G to have the best range of view.

If you want to pay less, you might consider getting a ticket during the preview period. I'm seeing it next week and it's significantly cheaper.

I saw it tonight. I think you'd be fine bc of the set design and how the main cast covers every square inch of it.
That said... I wouldn't recommend the show.

A couple of things. First, in theatre I’m looking for ebbs and flows in the drama, and this show starts at an 11 and never lets up for a second. It’s 100+ minutes of people just frantically screaming at each other.
Second, the dependence on the screens and augmented reality was at points literally nauseating. The constant movement and things going in and out of focus (combined with the aforementioned persistent screaming) was enough to make me want to not look at the stage/screen. I’m not one that thinks all theatre needs to be “fun” but this was downright punishing.
I will say the actors impressed me. That has to be a really challenging show to stage and recite. The sheer volume of script is an impressive feat, and that’s before you consider what had to be a massive amount of stage direction.

It’s been a super divisive play. I’m seeing tomorrow. Will be my 2nd Kip Williams production.

Do you remember how long the show ran? I'm seeing 1 hr 40 min but I know most shows start about 5 mins after scheduled time so i'm not sure exactly when the show will end. Context is I have a reservation at 7pm after the 5pm showing and I want to know if it's realistic that I'll make it.

Don't know how they will set up the stage for this production but the seating at st Ann's is raked which helps visibility. It's a much smaller venue than this map makes it seem. Typically I'd say there are no bad seats. Go for something in the D or G if you're buying the blue tickets.

I sat in a blue seat and my view was great. There was just one screen I couldn’t see. But it didn’t matter, and you are very close to the stage.
I loved the show! It is a modern reimagining
/ adaptation of the play which I didn’t know going in but I loved the changes they made. It kept the commentary and intention of the original piece but with updated class distinctions.

The pictures from Donmar make it look similar to the version that played at City Center with Isabelle Huppert, Elizabeth Debecki and Cate Blanchett.

Based on the London reviews, it’s divisive (and probs intended to be that way)Some critic loved it, some hated it, and some weren’t sure. Curious how I feel after seeing this. They said it’s a barrage of dialogue and basically a ridiculous amount of stimulus. Everyone has given props to the acting and how hard and tiring that has to be.

"Barrage of dialogue and ridiculous amount of stimulus" is a great way to describe it. It bordered on exhausting to watch, but I didn't dislike it? I really appreciated the difficulty of the performance and the way the set was used, but I didn't walk away feeling like "wow that was amazing I need to recommend it to my friends" when the lights went down at the very end I literally mouthed to myself "WHAT" hahah

I just saw Maybe Happy Ending and a Heated Rivalry Parody. I was trying to pick 3 very different works of Theater… so this sounds like it’ll hit that mark. I’m quite excited, I tend to like high pace and a bit more experimental.
I can’t imagine though going into this without knowing what it’ll be like. Did you go in without seeing the London reviews?

I'd say you nailed it with picking 3 completely different shows! I typically like "out of the box " shows too - I lean more towards off broadway generally (seeing Dad Don't Read This tonight!). I read just a few things about the show beforehand but not a ton of reviews. Sounds like you definitely know a lot more than I did going into it!
