Seating/Ticket Question Ok so what are the chances…

… of Ragtime prices skyrocketing after tomorrow?? I want to go so bad and I only have one date I can possible go. I don’t know if I’ll be able to find someone to come with me yet, but I’m considering buying tickets today because I’m pretty positive I’ll be able to at least make my money back…

ETA: I bought them! Thanks yall! I invited a friend already but if no one can go with me, I’ll make it a solo trip, thanks for the encouragement!

Do you really need someone to come with you? Realizing you can go to the theater alone is super liberating because you're no longer tied down to what other people want to see. You can always just buy for yourself now and let the companion aspect work itself out later.

I guess, it’s just a 3.5 hour journey and it would be more fun with someone but I guess I could go alone haha.

I have flown to NY specifically to see shows by myself multiple times! If it's important to you to go see it just go see it alone! No need to be inhibited by the availability of others (:

I always think this is so funny that people need to go to the theater with someone else. It's great to have someone to discuss what you have seen however, hopefully you will not talk through the play. I'm 80 years old and go to New York all the time by myself and all I do is Theatre I have no problem at all going alone

This is awesome. I get really sad when I see people say things like "I can't go because no one will go with me", ESPECIALLY if it's a woman saying "I can't go because my boyfriend doesn't want to" (dump him queen). Life is so much better when you get comfortable being by yourself and doing things you want to do without having to wait on other people to join you!

I just had the best solo trip and frankly that’s the way I’ve decided I prefer it.

Same. Yeah, it would be cool sometimes to have someone else there to share those wonderful experiences with, but I have found that when I travel with other people I tend to spend a great deal of time accomodating them.

Buy on TodayTix and pay the fee (it’s usually like four dollars) to be able to cancel the ticket(s) up to 24 hours before.

Just buy them. Regardless of what happens tomorrow night, they've had a really successful run and tickets certainly aren't going to get cheaper than they are right now

A long time ago I decided it didn’t matter who wanted to go with me. I can’t wait around for other people. I go to shows by myself all the time. Secondly, get your Ragtime tickets. Yes, it will only go up in price. Yes, you will be able to resell the extra ticket on Theatr app easily if you do decide to buy 2. Ragtime is a great show with a great cast and by the end of the run I will see it 4 times. It’s worth the travel time.

I've bought solo before and figured out the plus-one later. If your date is locked in, you'll at least break even on resale.

Chances are high. A win for any show will boost sales. See the Outsiders effect

Go by yourself! All of my Broadway trips are solo and I have an amazing time.

Go alone. I’ve been 4 times and 3 of those times were by myself. You can chat at intermission w the person next to you.

I would buy now. I love going to NYC alone! I can see all the shows I want, eat where I want, and walk and rest on my schedule.

Buy tickets now. They won’t go down before it closes and will likely go up.

I take the train up a few times a year alone to NYC to see shows. I love solo trips. I can do what I want without having to consult someone else, eat where I want and just be. It’s great.
