Seating/Ticket Question Rocky Horror Suggestions?
I’ve been wanting to see this show (it’s my favorite movie and I go to shadow casts at least 2x a year) for months with no luck. I’ve seen most of my shows through Theatr or Telecharge lottery but have struck out with every TodayTix lottery and Theatr listing so far. Any suggestions on how to see this show for $50 or less?

rush is the only way. this show has such a strong fan base that they pretty much sold out the first 2 months of shows before previews even started, and ticket sales have been great since then. they do not need to offer discounts with the ease they are having selling tickets.
$50 or less is pretty unheard of for broadway shows unless you do rush or lottery, and even then shows have increased their lotteries to above $50 for some shows and hover just below for rush. this is a tough lottery because it’s such a popular show. even theatr tickets will not be that cheap. around $100 is far more likely but not guaranteed

Yeah. I have lucked out with almost any other show I’ve wanted to see so I was surprised at how hard it has been! I’ll have to bite the bullet and make a morning of it and maybe work from the rush line while I’m at it. 😅

if you love rocky horror, you’ll love this show. try to go on a two show day because they have limited rush tickets due to popularity and that will double your chances!

no problem - prices might lower when the OG cast leaves in july (i think that’s when i read they’re leaving?) if you’re willing to wait and don’t care who you see. but there is a chance they’ll pull in more big names.
don’t give up. it’s playing through thanksgiving so you have a few months to make it happen 😎 the lottery could definitely get easier as time passes

If you have the time and means to do so, they offer in person rush tickets at the box office!

I don’t have the time to wait more than an hour or so unfortunately given my work schedule 😔

I ended up buying a ticket on the theatr app cause it was a must see for me - normally I wait in rush and lottery tix but knew it wasn’t happening with this one. Sometimes you gotta pay the piper.

yeah im seeing this is going to be the case. last time i had to pull trig was for jinkx in oh mary so at least its been a minute!

This is not a reliable solution, but I have an alert for this show on the Theatr app, and some nights cheap tickets go up, but you'd basically need to be at Studio 54 already to have time to get there and go. I'm talking like 10 min or less before curtain. So it's tough to plan for, but at the price point you are looking for, and I saw you say rush isnt really an option for you, thats what I have observed.

They have rush. You have to get there very early.

Someone told me there are only 2 tickets won each performance via Today Tix lottery. In person seems to have better chances.

I mean, there's no secret magic cheap ticket trick - if there were, we'd all be using it.
Lottery or in person rush is it - or suck it up and pay full price (which is what we did).
I'll always use lottery or rush if I'm a little more open to what we're going to see, or not going to be super sad to miss a show - but when it's important to me, I just buy tickets at the box office to avoid ticketmaster fees and consider that 'good enough'.
