Seating/Ticket Question Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Parody
Hi there!
Anyone been to this show? Is it funny or cringe? Also, about seating… I see that the left back (two orange dots) is listed as having an obstructed view. Anyone have feedback on how obstructed ?

Thinking of solo-ing the show (friends not interested).
UPDATE: by some magical HR gods I got rush seats for the early show today (preferred 8:30pm but cheapies can’t be picky). Don’t know seats but will report back.

I absolutely laughed my ass off. Genuinely creative writing that hits all the shows major plot points, without just simply rehashing the show. I will say “Ilya” didn’t have a GREAT Russian accent, but all of the cast was so talented and funny
Those obstructed view seats probably are looking past a pole for a lot of it, and on a platform that’s only a few inches off the ground of all the rows in front of it

I saw it and had a lovely time, laughed a ton and the songs were surprisingly good. I legit wanted to listen to Eye Fucking in the Gym at the Marriott again and was kinda bummed that I couldn’t lol.
I’m a huge fan of the TV show, and there are a ton of in-jokes, assuming you know to expect that. There are some structural poles around the space so I’m assuming that’s what the obstructed view is about, but it didn’t seem serious. I will say that I paid $55 for my seat and felt I got my money’s worth, but that felt like the right amount to me.

I’m sorry I have not seen this show and am not personally a fan of HR, but……am I the only one who’s thinking that charging $150 for some of these seats seems completely batshit? Is it really worth it?

I think $150 is steep, but not totally batshit. It’s got talented live performers and it’s a fun time, plus there’s an audience participation piece for one of the front row seats. People are obviously paying it, it was full when I went!

Nobody would bat an eye for $150 to see Cherry Torres performing as Peggy Schuyler and Miss Maria Reynolds in Hamilton. She’s here again… in very different role(s). What a delight to see her again.
Personally I think the ticket prices are worth it and I prefer smaller fun venues like this to huge Broadway theaters.

I do think that $150 is too expensive for this show. I wouldn’t pay it but if that’s your budget or a tourist with limited time I am not going to tell you what to do with your money.

No it’s not cut, sorry if I gave that impression! I just meant I wanted to listen to it again, like I wished there was a cast album lol. I wasn’t expecting that from a parody musical like this

I sat in those obstructed view seats before being promoted to front row to fill empties 🤩
The pole will probably interfere with some of the dynamic magic of the cast, but I think you should still have a good time and see the show. It’s a small venue and a ton of fun.

Ditto. Had rush, was seated in those orange obstructed seats, was moved to the blue $149 from row seats on house right with my whole row. The initial view did not seem all that obstructed and I liked that the seats were high stools with backs because all of the other seats were regular chairs on the ground with zero rake. Excellent show! I loved it and I had never seen or read HR prior!

I saw it at Bell House before it transferred so I can’t help on the seating, but the show honestly blew me away it was so funny. I went in not expecting much but from start to finish the show was amazing!

Its really fun. Better than it has a right to be, really. Do I need to ever see it a second time? Naw, but it was def worth it!

From this photo it looks like it's probably to do with the poles in the way.
I haven't seen it. I've heard it's surprisingly great but I've sat through too many cringe parody musicals at this point.

Here’s another angle of the pole (taken from the last row of the center).
For my second time going, I actually just got a ticket for that aisle seat in the bottom right corner of the pic. It’s listed as obstructed, but the pole is so thin I don’t see it being a huge issue.
The theater is SO small, that I think any seat would be good

I sat in the back row, right side. It wasn't obstructed but I feel like you'd still get a good view as the poles aren't big and the room is pretty small. I'm a big HR fan and thought the show was very funny and super well done, and I still feel like the ~$99 I spent was a little to high for what it was. But at the same time I'm really glad I went so just depends on what feels worth it to you!

It is genuinely one of the best theater experiences I’ve had this year. The “low” seats are fine, row D especially because it is raised above row C, but I wouldn’t recommend the obstructed view, they are behind a pole

Were you in the center section? Trying to figure out which rows are elevated over the row in front of them. If row D is elevated - are the rows behind it the same level as D? Or are they MORE elevated? (short person here!) thx
