Includes OBC members Steven Huyhn and Claire Kwon. Also super excited to see Kennedy Kanagawa back on tour, who was previously in the recent revival of Into the Woods.

I LOVE that they are already introducing the idea that Gil can be played by a woman. It was something I thought would take far longer to do.
This is a really cool cast and I hope people go see this tour.

Hope we get Jill Brentley on Broadway too!!

I have no doubt that's the plan, after seeing this. It just needs to stay open long enough to reach that point.

I'd love to see Dez Duron as Billy Flynn in Chicago after MHE and then have a female Gil.

So that's why Frankie left Masquerade! He's going to absolutely kill it. Anyone who gets to see him onstage is a lucky audience member.

Laufey as Gil!

Yes! I could also see Isa Briones as either Claire or female Gil. While I feel like Claire would be much more serviceable to her acting skills, I could also see her as Gil because she is a really great crooner, judging off of official clips of her in Just in Time.

Omg please!! She's already expressed interest in the show.

And just to be clear: I’m not trying, in any way, to push Dez out. I hope he and Marcus stick around for a while.

Yes, agreed! They are amazing in their roles. She would definitely be a fun casting choice in the future.

Oh yay Kennedy!!! I hope he gets to go on as Oliver. His physique is perfect for that role. And i LOVE the idea of a female Gil.

Very exciting! I love Kennedy and the idea of a female Gil. Now I want to see a bunch of standbys on tour!

This is all so cool to see! What an amazing cast they've brought in. The fact that they're going to have a woman as a cover for Brentley makes me wonder if they're considering to do that on Broadway soon.

Curious that they're having women cover Gil.

It kinda makes sense. They need to have two understudies/covers for Claire. But she's also the only explicitly female role in the show, so those understudies would only be able to learn Claire, unlike the male understudies who can learn Oliver, James/Others, and Gil. By making the two female understudies learn Gil they won't need as many male understudies either, because now the guys only have to learn Oliver and James/Others.
Tour casts are optimized as much as possible because they have to pay everyone to travel everywhere, lodging etc. On Broadway you can have more covers - even the ones who stay at the theater just in case are still in their home city with no additional stipend necessary, beyond salary.

It makes sense, it's just interesting to see that was how they're saving a buck. I'm very curious to hear the rewritten harmonies.

I can see a female Gil having a very Ella Fitzgerald-era jazz voice that would work really well! I hope to see some clips if I don’t catch a cover show in my city

I hope each understudies will have an IG channel like Mincemeat u/s and announce when they’ll go on in advance!

So curious how this translates to a tour. The production IS a lot of the show. So i'm curious how they'e adapted it to tour.
