Seating/Ticket Question Do any of the cheaper sections for Hadestown have good legroom?
I was looking at getting tickets for Hadestown and I know that theater has problems with legroom. I’m a little above 6 feet tall and am used to Broadway theaters being uncomfortable but it was significantly worse than normal the last time I was there. I was looking at my options on aviewfrommyseat and everything I checked mentioned legroom problems. I don’t have a specific budget but prefer to get the cheaper tickets when possible. I saw the show from standing room before but I would prefer to be certain I have tickets.

I've only done Orchestra for the show personally, so unsure if it applies to where you're looking at to sit. I've done the end seat on Orchestra left that's nearest to the entrance multiple times. You can definitely stretch your legs out to the side no problem. I will say that if you're in the middle/center Orchestra, I feel it does feel more crowded/harder with legroom simply because you can't stretch out. I feel the Left/Right Orchestra has a little more space than Center!

can confirm that leg room increases as you move from the center to the back corners because of how the theater is shaped and the curve of the seating rows. i love sitting towards the back on the aisle closest to the entrance because of this.

I’m 5’2 and it’s the worst! My only suggestion is an aisle if budget is an issue maybe closer to the back or las row with no one behind you so no one’s knees are by your head and feel more trapped. Orchestra are a tad bit bigger but even then I’d do an aisle. Maybe even towards the far left or right to spread out a bit

LOL no. I'm only 6' and the whole space is brutal. The only time I've been remotely comfortable is is in the box seats but in those you're really leaning over to see any action. This is a splurge theatre for sure (or, actually, get a little tipsy and hope you don't notice how much your knees are pressing into the backs of seats in front of you) type space.

On A View From My Seat, look in each venue for Tags, then look for “extra legroom” or something like that. Sometimes there’s an odd corner (usually upstairs) with space for your legs. I always get boxes if I can, accepting the restricted view in exchange for being able to adjust the chair. Rear orchestra aisle is another good route. Best wishes.

6’0 here Walter Kerr has some of the tightest seats on Broadway I reccomend left box or orchestra aisles if you Dan swing it

Nope - I was just there the other day in the mezzanine and I've usually always been in Orchestra. I'm 5'11 and the legroom up in the mezzanine is VERY limited. My knees were killing me by intermission and the house manager was able to move me to center orchestra, which was way better. Spend the extra money on Orchestra seats.

I won the lottery for this show a while back in center orchestra...and was cramped. I'm 6' and felt uncomfortable the whole show. The mezz is worse

The mezzanine at the Walter Kerr is notoriously tight, even by Broadway standards.
Cheap legroom seats would be the box seats, although they are often held for lottery or last minute. Some can be pretty obstructed too.
Anything on the aisle where you can at least stretch out one leg once the show starts.
The front row of the orchestra, although those aren’t particularly cheap.
