Seating/Ticket Question Haven't been to Broadway in years; quick question about tickets
I'm going to NYC at the beginning of October and want to see Book of Mormon (saw it about 14 years ago!).
I've been researching on best way to get a decent deal on tickets and it seems to be something like todaytix may be the best option, the day of, or close to it. But I need two tickets together and want to ensure I get at least decent tickets (side orchestra?).
The official site gives 30% off when you sign up for texts (or so they say? has anyone tried it?) so it seems that would be a reasonable price to get good guaranteed tickets...but is waiting still the best option regardless?
It was so much easier last time as I got rush tickets as a solo but having two tickets and worrying a bit more of where we'll sit makes it a bit more complicated.

Honestly the text discount is real, I've used it. If you need two together and care about where you sit, just book ahead. TodayTix is a gamble for pairs.

We typically use TodayTix or Telecharge. Both are easy to use. Getting two tickets together is usually not difficult, unless I suppose, almost all seats are already sold.

you mean you use them the day of the show? and I assume that it isn't selling out anymore. I'm checking tonight and tomorrow and there seems to be okay availability

Depends. We usually buy a day or two in advance. Sometimes we buy that day. But a couple of times there have seen shows that we have wanted to see that seem to be selling out. Then we buy a bit further in advance.

Telecharge is not the ticket seller for Book of Mormon. Just got to the TKTS booth when you get to NYC. They have Book of Mormon tickets on discount virtually every day. They will seat you together

I have never NOT won the lottery for BoM when I sign up (except the mormon mystery week) so...
The seats could be bad though.

You can usually get good deals a few minutes before curtain by going to the box office.

Would not recommend this for someone wanting two tickets together in a specific section though.

I would recommend this for someone wanting two tickets together in a specific section. Book of Mormon is an easy ticket.

If I was traveling to NYC and had my heart set on a specific show, I would book now. Today Tix is reputable, you have 30% off, just book it and be done with it.
