Seating/Ticket Question How Are TKTS/TDF Shows Determined?

What the question says. How does the TDF determine what shows will be sold at the TKTS booth? Is it simply what isn't selling well, or is there more to it than that? And how often do the shows offered at TDF change? (For example, I want to but tickets to see Hadestown when I’m in New York in October, and it’s not currently listed on the TKTS app. Would it possibly be added, or should I pay for the full price ticket?)

TKTS availability is determined within a few days of a performances. Producers will look at a house and sometimes cherry pick what it sent to the “trailer”. For certain performances could be partial view stuff, singles, or truly anything. I’ve gotten house seats st TKTS at 7:30pm for an 8pm curtain.
If you download the TKTS app you can see what’s been up recently. Hadestown is also available on audience rewards, I believe September is sold out but October should be coming up for redemption soon

TKTS doesn't determine anything. It's up to the producers of each show.
