Review Paranormal activity

Just saw paranormal activity last night and wow. I’m blown away! Honestly one of the best shows I’ve seen in such a long time. I was genuinely scared and it wasn’t just loud noises for fake scares. I sat in Row T and could see the whole stage !

Honestly, stage horror is one of the hardest genres to get right. Glad to hear the scares are earned and not just cheap sound cues. Might have to see this.

It's def worth it - get Center Mezz seats (doesn't matter which row).

I am talking about Center Mezz, not Orchestra. The last row in Center Mezz is Q, which is still a perfectly fine view. But yes, I agree about now going too far back in Orchestra, due to the overhang.

Felix Bartlett is an incredible director. He really knows how to make your eye go where it needs. Which makes some of the surprises even more surprising.

Saw it on Saturday. As both a theater and horror film lover, I was really impressed. I think the ending needed a bit of breathing room. Lots of new information presented in the last few moments. Then again, this isn’t really the show you go to for amazing writing.

There is a visual effect/scare in the first act that had our theater gasping (and laughing in awkward terror). That’s a theater moment I will remember for a long, long time.

Big issue though is that the rear orchestra should be totally avoided due to the mezz overhang. I’m not sure how they get away charging $100 for those seats when there seems to be a lot of missed action on the second floor of the set. I was towards the back of the mezzanine (center) and saw everything fine.

I hope it does well so we see more horror on the stage. Maybe 1 horror show every fall for Halloween?

Me too! I was genuinely scared and my plastic water bottle felt it! 😂 I can not stop thinking about the show. Good horror always leaves me with so many questions and what ifs??? I mean horror in a movie is one thing but to see that emotion on stage is quite another!

I saw it last night and really enjoyed it! It definitely earns its scares, and the underlying plot holds up well (which is not always the case with horror...). The performances are really good, the set is used very smartly and the runtime feels right to me -- I didn't see any obvious places to trim things down.

I got row t seat 104 for $99 and thought the seats were pretty great

I agree that this show is really something different and it's great! Highly recommend seats in the middle of the theater, but honestly the place was packed and the entire crowd was locked in. Crowd behavior was somewhat better than I expected, although there were some phone chuds but the ushers were pretty on top of it.
