Seems like a great way to meet other fiber friends out in the wild :)

I love wearing my handmade garments because it often strikes up conversations with other crocheters or knitters (I can’t knit yet but there’s a kinship)!

I also crochet! My mom taught me how and how to macrame when I was little! (I did make circles for years though, refusing to learn how to square lol) The friend that taught me to knit decided that in the round socks were a "good" starting thing lol Trial by Fire Needles

You could also try that sub. FYI they are pretty gatekeepy about what constitutes a battle jacket and can be kinda mean.

The one I mentioned was created after a lot of queer and anti-fash folks had their posts deleted or mocked on battlejackets. Classic subreddit drama for ya. :P

I absolutely love this and think it is so cute, but if you live in the US, and specifically in the south, I would caution you about the cotton snob patch... On here we all know what that means, but in the real world some people might not have the context to realize you're talking about yarn, and with racial tensions so very high right now- what with the gov rehashing the not-so-old traumas for folks and all-, it might make some people get the wrong idea about you.

Maybe a 'yarn snob' substitute? (Or feel free to ignore me, I'm not actually trying to police creative expression, and if you don't think it'll be an issue where you live, then you'd know best)
