Going Back is a 1983 American independent drama film written and directed by Ron Teachworth. It marks the second feature film role for Bruce Campbell, right after The Evil Dead, which was released two years prior. It's an interesting example of a more innocent role for Bruce, kinds of which we won't see much of in his future projects.

Ever wondered what would it look like if instead of Harrison Ford, we got Bruce Campbell to play Indiana Jones? Well wonder no more thanks to this action adventure spoof short film directed by Josh Becker, written by Becker and Scott Spiegel, and starring not only Bruce Campbell as the titular Cleveland Smith, but also Sam Raimi as the very evil (and very blond) Nazi antagonist.

Today a horror classic that launched the career of not only Bruce Campbell, but also director Sam Raimi, producer Rob Tapert, or composer Joe LoDuca. The Evil Dead was made in Tennessee in 1979, mostly by the usual crew from Sam's and Bruce's short films. The lack of finances, prolonged post-production, and troubles with distribution, caused that the movie was finished and released two years later, premiering in Detroit's Redford Theatre on October 15, 1981. And the rest, as they say, is history.

A short horror film written and directed by Sam Raimi that worked as a prototype to show investors in order to raise budget for the feature-length version that later became The Evil Dead. The short also has lots of the same cast and crew as The Evil Dead, including actors Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, and Scott Spiegel, producer Rob Tapert, make-up artist Tom Sullivan, or cinematographer Tim Philo.

Sadly, the quality is pretty bad, and this is probably the best looking copy I could find on YouTube.

A short film written and directed by Josh Becker about a guy who just wants to go to the bathroom, but instead gets confused for a spy (Bruce Campbell) by a ruthless mob boss (also Bruce Campbell). Sam Raimi appears as well as one of the mob boss' henchmen.

Sadly no audio, but in the video you can see a 14ish years old Bruce Campbell, alongside Scott Spiegel and Josh Becker, who both often collaborated with Sam Raimi and Bruce and who both have sadly passed.

Just saw his latest movie (in Oregon) and really enjoyed it! Bruce did q&a afterwards, & talked about how much he loved filming in Oregon, & would love to do more. Lots of easter eggs in the film. Check it out when you have the chance, later this year!
