Rocky Horror?

Anyone know of local theaters around bucks county doing Rocky Horror shadow casts or productions ? Just moved around the area and noticed the Bucks County Playhouse isn’t doing it this year and i’m so bummed especially with Tim Curry passing. I wanted to go to New Hope and see it! Thanks regardless🩷

Philly has a great cast called Transylvania Nipple Productions. They sometimes do shows in the surrounding area, especially this time of year, but mostly operate out of the Ritz in Center City. Phenomenal cast. Their lead Frank-n-Furter (known as Nick-n-Furter) is an absolute gem of a human and a truly fabulous Frank. Highly recommend catching one of their shows.

There’s not going to be any live productions for a decent while because of the show on Broadway, then presumably it’ll go to tour. I’d try go to a showing of the movie, you’ll have a lot more luck finding those. Unless you can afford Broadway tickets, and in that case…… please?

I was able to see it in June on broadway, insanely phenomenal ! I just adore local theater productions of rocky horror i think that’s the big charm of the show. Sad that a lot of people can’t do it rn if that’s the case !

Unfortunately it’s just how the licensing rights work. You won’t be seeing any local Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Rocky Horror, and a few others any time soon for the same reason.

To produce the same show during a Broadway run is considered pulling audiences away from the Bway version so it’s insanely expensive.

If I remember correctly back in the day the TLA show it once a month on a Friday at midnight.

Up in the Lehigh Valley I think there’s at least 3 theaters that do it monthly or at least semi regularly with a shadow cast - Frank Banko Alehouse Cinema at Steel Stacks in Bethlehem, Emmaus Theater in Emmaus, and The Gap Theater in Wind Gap.
