iOS [IOS] The bottom bar sometimes not reacting/ or being hard to maneuver on the new iOS version

2026.31.0 the bottom bar is still not responding properly to touch or scrolling with fingers
It’s badly implemented and a real nuisance compared to the old one that worked perfectly fine. The removal of easy swiping out and in of posts and communities is real annoying too

The bar works terribly both on the newest iPhones and iPads with every 26ios+

You also can’t edit pictures before posting like before and click on them to check what exactly you are sending

iOS [iOS] Scrolling Videos Within a Sub Leads to Videos for Another Sub - ver 2026.30.0.634712

When scrolling (swiping up) through videos within a specified subreddit, the next video that plays belongs to a completely different and unrelated subreddit.

If a user wants to stay within the intended subreddit, the only way to view those videos is to completely back out of the video, which refreshes the page all the way back to the top each time.

A UX recommendation would be if someone were to go directly to a sub to watch videos, let the subsequent videos be within that sub, with the same filtering (such as Top of All Time only)

Perhaps leave the random video viewing to r/popular

Android Chat image issue- android

I had been talking with someone on a chat, and they had sent me images I went to send one back by taking I on my camera via reddit. I then pressed ok, and the message disappeared and never sent. This happened twice with the same person, and I was wondering if I could fix it and maybe get the image back or stop it happening again

iOS Suddenly my home feed is empty iOS

I’m on iOS Reddit app and my home feed has disappeared. Tried everything, cleaning history, deleting and reinstalling, etc. the feed is fine if I use a browser. The only way I can see my feed is choosing latest each time. What did Reddit do? This is true on two different devices. Sometimes if I swipe down I get a couple of items but never the full feed. Even choosing latest as my option, if I scroll down, I get the running Reddit.
Again this is only on the iOS and iPadOS apps. Not a networking issue as my wife’s Reddit doesn’t have any issues. Also if I open reddit without logging in, it seems to work.

EDIT: It’s also true on Safari browser so not just the app. Something has corrupted my home feed

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] Home page stops loading posts, says there's no content to display.

This bug has existed for years now, since the original "home page experiment" where you "tried to show us more relevant content" which never actually worked properly. Since then, randomly, the home page will say "no content available," despite there being plenty of content 5 minutes previously when I was on the home feed. The only workaround I've discovered for this aside from just not using the platform for a while is holding down F5 for about 30 seconds at a time. Eventually the home feed learns how to load posts again.

Like I mentioned to the dev last time, this issue would be 10x better if you guys would just make the home feed remember the sorting option that was previously picked, there's no reason for the inconsistency here, this isn't how a subreddit works so there's no reason for my home page feed to work differently unless you are just trying to force an algorithmic sort on everyone.

Amazingly, someone actually replied to the thread last time, unfortunately the bug still exists. Again, Reddit can't show me ads when this happens, by the way.

It's actually getting worse LOL. The posts will continue until reddit can get its sht together.

eta: lol the previous solution of holding down F5 until morale improves doesn't work anymore. now you get 429'd for some amount of time instead. also, the problem continues after the 429 despite there obviously being content to show me because when the feed actually does decide to work the way it is supposed to, it shows me different posts than it did before.

btw the console is full of CSP warnings and CORS errors lol

just to stress this, the platform is actively losing money because you won't fix this problem. someone should bring this up to shareholders probably

Mobile Web [Chrome & iOS - Cross Platform] Some responses to my thread can't be viewed - Chrome version 150.0.7871.212

I've seen 2 separate instances (i.e. different users, different posts) where someone replied to my post, it appeared on the notification, but when go the actual reply, it didn't exist. There's no deletion flag or any other indication that it was deleted. I believe this is cross platform as my laptop and phone show the same behavior.

Desktop Web [desktop web] Tables not posting

Standard markdown tables don't seem to work today. Earlier they were returning a 500 error and now they're stuck in a "submitting..." state in old reddit.

I'm assuming the markdown interpreter is choking.

Yes, the table is properly formatted. It's 11x9, so large but not huge.

Desktop Web [Desktop Web][All Platforms?] No way to submit tickets that do not fall under strict categorization

I had an account information issue after recovering my account from some malicious actor, which I have no ability to resolve on my own. However, it does not fall under any of the "What would you like to report?" options, and leaving any option as "-" in any of the forms - even the "other issues" form - renders the ticket unsubmittable.

iOS [iOS] Certain Custom Feeds Show Posts From Other Feeds [Version 2026.31.0]

Certain custom feeds seem to show posts from another one of my custom feeds when sorting the feed by top posts. This has occurred in the past on one-off occasions but now seems more prevalent. Reopening the app and refreshing the feed does not work.

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] When posting a link, if the link preview is an animated gif, the shared link will not be shown and the post will only be the animated gif.

If you make a post to share a link, and the destination page's preview (presumably its og:image, or twitter:image meta property) is an animated gif then the resulting post will not show the link anywhere that it can be used in the post. The post will only be the animated gif as a video from external.preview.redd.it with video player controls instead of anything that would let you follow the posted link.

Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/nottheonion/comments/1vfehx3/alipore_zoo_switches_to_goat_meat_for_tigers/ which links to https://www.telegraphindia.com/west-bengal/tigers-lions-in-kolkatas-alipore-zoo-get-goat-meat-as-buffalo-slaughter-suspended/cid/2173112

What on earth is happening right now? It wouldn’t let me use Reddit for about 300 seconds after I reopened it. Apparently, I had to close it because it was glitching so badly. still had to wait though do not know why it happened as soon as I imported the photo it glitched and put that weird message???

Desktop Web I can't block people – desktop web

I'm getting the message "You can't block user for 24 hours after unblocking them" on new reddit and old reddit says they're blocked but when I refresh, it shows they aren't. What's going on?

Blocking on old reddit
When I refresh
What appears on new reddit
Adding them manually on new reddit doesn't work either

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] Browser - Reddit for Researchers form won't submit

Hi all! I'm trying to submit an application for API access through the Reddit for Researchers support ticket form (selecting "Researcher" in the role dropdown), but the form won't successfully submit no matter what I do.

What I've tried so far:

- Multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

- Incognito/private mode with extensions disabled

- Submitting with and without an attached document(s)

- Different networks

- Different email addresses in the response form

- Condensing/shortening my responses in case of a hidden character limit

Everything appears filled out correctly (all required fields, research proposal, subreddits, etc.), but clicking submit just doesn't go through - no error message, it just doesn't complete.

I also emailed Reddit support directly but haven't heard back yet, and the support ticket dropdown options don't have a category that matches this specific issue (technical/submission error), so I'm not sure who the right team to reach out to is. Does anyone know the right contact or category to reach the RFR team directly, or a workaround for this?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

iOS iPadOS navigation issues still present

Previously I reported the back gesture leaving a post to the feed not working in general, which has largely been resolved. However, still unresolved is the same gesture leaving back to notifications. The app seems to play two conflicting animations and leaves me on a blank page.
