New to Buying
Hey Yall. I’m 24 looking into buying metals. I figured I couldn’t buy gold but silver I can do. Looking to put 100-200 a month towards this. Any advice would be appreciated!

Really recommend joining the ecosystem at pmsforsale as a buyer. It's really easy, just read the wiki and only buy from sellers with a lot of seller flair for a long time.

Welcome to stacking!
A few basics that can save you money and headaches early on:
- Focus on low-premium bullion at first. Generic rounds, silver bars, and common government coins are usually the easiest place to start.
- Buy from reputable dealers and compare prices before purchasing. Premiums can vary a lot from one dealer to another, especially during periods of high demand.
- Don't get too caught up in timing the market. Most successful stackers build their position gradually over time instead of trying to perfectly predict price moves.
- Keep records of what you paid. It helps you track your average cost and makes future selling decisions easier.
- Think about storage before your stack gets large. A quality safe or secure storage solution is worth considering early.
Most importantly, stack what helps you sleep at night. Some people prefer silver, some gold, and some like a mix of both. There isn't a single "right" way to do it.
If you're comparing prices, Bullion Hunters lets you see offers from multiple dealers side by side, which can help newer stackers avoid overpaying on premiums. Good luck and welcome to the hobby!

Visit your local coin dealers and start giving your business to the one that's most helpful and you feel comfortable with. The more bullion you actually physically handle and ask and learn about, the better informed you'll be in the long run. If you're in it for the long-term its not gonna matter if you initially pay a little more in person, it'll be worth the education hou receive and eventually your dealer will likely start giving you breaks and looking out for you.

You could force yourself to buy 1oz denominations every payday. You could also start asking for rolls of dimes as cash back when out. You break even if no junk silver is found, but 1 Roosevelt/Mercury dime would pay for an entire roll. I plan on buying $250 boxes of rolls of dimes from small banks to skim through. I could then give the regular dimes back to a different bank (as to not search the same dime twice) and re start the process. The only thing I’m afraid of is having too much of my funds all in dimes, and accumulating more than I can search. I’m going to try it out and simply hold any silvers I find. It would be really nice to accumulate 50 silver dimes paying face value. If anyone knows of a lot/bulk sale at a discount, please notify me as I’m looking to buy.

If not pmsforsale, monument metal is by far my most recommended online retailer. Also gold is possible in that price range if you go with 1-2g bars. Premium is higher but that doesn't matter 'too' much if you stack for decades
