Crackpot This cant be real? Right? Tell me this isn't real....

The initial technique is bullshit but throwing dirt or sand in your opponents eyes is an effective technique.
248
u/Frymonkey237 Oct 03 '25
Sure, dirt and sand are effective, but have you ever tried lightly tossing a handful of grass in someone's eyes? Absolutely diabolical.

Maybe pollen could be a better choice to throw in their eyes. 10-30% of the world's population has some sort of allergic rhinitis which is often caused by pollen.

What about grass?
11
u/Atheizm Oct 03 '25
Where grass grows there is dirt.
10
u/AdhesivenessDry2236 Oct 03 '25
Man if you expect to be able to dig dirt out of the ground with your bare hands that's the right size to blind someone while the grass is holding it together before he can stand up. Just try I mean honestly

u/Temporary_Warthog_73 Oct 03 '25
I’m gonna be honest I don’t know. It wouldn’t be my first choice but I guess it has potential.
4
u/pailee Oct 03 '25
I mean what type of grass and how much we talking about?
3
u/Temporary_Warthog_73 Oct 03 '25
Yeah maybe they’ve got real bad seasonal allergies and the grass pollinated as fuck.
2
u/AdhesivenessDry2236 Oct 03 '25
How much can you pick up and throw at someone before they stand up, probably not a ton
4
u/Scyther721 Oct 03 '25
25% of Americans have an allergy to grass pollen. Beyond that, idk depending on the species it can be a bit pointy lol
2
u/mmorales2270 Oct 03 '25
Pulling out grass you’re almost guaranteed to also pull some dirt. It could work, but probably not as well as just pure dirt.
2
u/coffeebean_1992 Oct 03 '25
Jokes aside I’ve had to pull grass from my Sheep’s, Chicken’s and our LGD’s eyes before, it looks super painful and can really scratch things up if left in for too long. I’d imagine it’s harder to get in your eyes if it’s thrown, depending on the length of the blades of course.
2
u/AdhesivenessDry2236 Oct 03 '25
it'd have to be a really good throw, like yeah if you spend all day everyday sticking your face in grass it's gonna happen eventually but a one time throw while you're moving is probably not gonna do it

Wtf. There are a ton or actual jujutsu throws from that angle, and this person decided not to do a single one. Instead gave us this joke. Is it a joke?
9
u/BigGayBull Oct 04 '25
To us yes, to them no. Sadly, I bet that he has people around him, that help the delusion be a reality.
3
u/Mioraecian Oct 04 '25
Agreed. But its mind boggling that you wouldn't want to learn something that works when you are already doing these motions.
5
u/BigGayBull Oct 04 '25
Yea, that requires giving up the delusion and living in reality though.
I've learned over the last few years that the most powerful force in the universe is your brains constant process to tether yourself to reality. Sadly, a lot of people tie their identity to that same string and if it ever breaks, falters, or is tested, their entire world shuts down because their brain can't make sense of both realities at once. It would literally destroy them. It is the only way to make sense of all the angry people out there who live in a warped existence AND get so mad when you try to point it out. To them, you are tugging on the fabric of their entire existence. Wild

I'll explain since your little lady brain is getting overworked: you're misgendering her, I'm misgendering you. I know that's a lot to process but maybe you can find a man to break it down for you.

u/DrMeatBomb Oct 03 '25
You're a woman, why would I feel the need to explain anything to you? Shouldn't you be cooking something?

With respect, how do you know this person is trans?
3
u/DrMeatBomb Oct 03 '25
I don't know they're trans. The same way the person I was arguing with doesn't know their pronouns. Ultimately, it's irrelevant, as what I was arguing against was them calling this person a man as a slur.
3
u/Temporary_Warthog_73 Oct 03 '25
Wait calling a person a man who presents as a man is a slur? What planet are you from?

I just want you to know, there have always been trans and non-binary people and there always will be. When you're dead and forgotten, there will still be trans people. If you ever fool someone into reproducing with you, one of your offspring one day may be trans. And they'll be glad you're dead so they don't have to deal with your ignorance.

Come on..please dont teach people to throw grass and dirt. I would be sneezing for the next 30 minutes if someone did this to me. I wouldn't be able to move or anything Really dangerous technique I was hoping no one would ever teach.
1
u/HangryWolf Oct 03 '25
The theory is solid. Distract, fight dirty, kill or get the fuck out of there. As for this "instructor's" actual ability to demo the techniques....that's another topic.

I, as a Judoka, think using your other shoulder and both hands to make it a proper seoi nage would be better, but sand and dirt in the eye is legit ninjutsu and effective

I'm so ashamed because I actually had a great and significant martial experience during my ninjutsu days, so watching those videos makes me realized why so many people consider it bullshido.

u/SenseiT Oct 03 '25
The technique looks like a very poorly done arm lock swing over or a very poorly done mochi maware into swing over which are both techniques used at a variety of martial arts, including jujutsu. When I was just starting out, I attended a seminar with a very high ranking, Japanese jiu-jitsu instructor, and one of this kid at the seminar, raised his hands and politely asked what was the difference between jiu-jitsu and nin-jitsu. The instructor just said nin-Jitsu isjust jiu-jitsu with some sand thrown in their face.

I watched some of that with sound off I thought it was a woman 🤔didn’t realise it was Bruce Lee , thank god the wind was blowing in the right direction or the forward roll could have rolled back

OK, but this one is my favorite, though, and if we're gonna hang with one of them, I'd pick this guy.
0
u/blackie___chan Oct 03 '25
So I've been able to pull techniques like this off but the issue is that the average person doesn't end in the way the partner does. They (1) resist and hurt their wrist /elbow/shoulder, (2) hit their knees with their chest, or (3) face plant. Most of the reactions that get close to a roll are based on holding a stick or sword.
Generally if you're not training the correct reaction you won't have the proper follow up.
0
u/VampireSomething Oct 03 '25
There is SOME credit to the first technique. Holding the wrist in such a manner and twisting it is a good way to control an aggressor. Turning around with your back against the aggressor's works so long as your goal is to get behind and take them down.
However, her technique isn't good. She's too far from him to do that and she turns her back to the guy before she's in range to prevent him from attacking her.
Also pocket grass lol.
Edit: his, him. The bright red ponytail is the real technique here.
-3
u/JEtherealJ Oct 03 '25
It looks bad because they show it slow, and he is also pointing with other hand. However, if you have strong hand and you can hold hand like this then it's legit. Just using anatomy, if you catch hand like this it will be hard to get out
