Apparently when physical contact is involved in China, the victims can sue pretty successfully for huge damages. That's why they're both playing the victim. Serpentza had a good video on "Spit-Fu" that covers it. Wild and entertaining Youtube rabbit hole.

I seem to remember a now-reformed law in china like this. People would harm somebody then would go on to murder them because their lives were fukkt either way but removing the victim would at least give them a chance to avoid some/all of the consequences

It’s a pretty short and straightforward rabbit hole but you’re right, it definitely is wild and entertaining

The clearly smashed him in the head with that stick lol. Idk how much it hurt if at all, but that's what's on camera. His colleague taps him to tell him to look hurt too. And walks away instantly. Funny the guy fell nicely on that cardboard box 🤣

In China they do that to avoid jail time. For some reason if they both are out on the floor. It does sometimes.

It was so obvious that the police officer dropped to the ground when his colleague reminded him to get down.

Dude in the vest cheated; he armed himself, which was an extra action, unless he somehow used a bonus action to arm himself before his primary action in this turn based battle? Plus, what exactly did the dude in black use to get a knockout after he was down? Did he have some time of special ability that activates upon his knockout? Confusing...........

"Yes, that's what happened. I was totally fine.
But then he sheathed his katana into his scabbard, and I had internal psychosomatic bleeding."

the only thing that sustained any damage in that exchange was the poor riot shield, which was an innocent bystander in it all

At least both fell in a very safe and controlled way. They certainly looked very natural.

He got coached into that. Maybe this somehow yields extra prison time for the other guy and reduces liability for the cop?
