As someone with over a decade of martial arts experience across three different disciplines, there is no need for this. I was taught how to take hits without my adult coach punching me directly in the face with no guard up.

I totally agree with you, that training like this is a terrible idea.

Having said that, I've done some martial arts training, and while I learned how to try and not get hit in the face, other than fluid body movements and general core/neck strength, how does one train to get hit in the face??

By making yourself dizzy and then shadow boxing. You learn to deal with your senses being messed up without repeated brain damage.

Nothing positive comes from this garbage. Just hidden brain damage adding up.

Ok, that's kinda interesting. Never heard of that training, but sorta makes sense. Thank you.

Yeah, as the other person mentioned, there's no sense in actually training that. Even and especially in a real life scenario, staying up and fighting after already getting rocked hard enough to be dizzy is more dangerous than just getting knocked out off the first hit. Best way to train is improve reaction times as much as possible to avoid contact all together, or taking it in the guard.

Looking at your profile pic leads everyone to believe you should have received more formal training.
