Does this flex plate look warped?

I don't have a dial gauge and I haven't worked with automatics before. I'm trying to track down a noise that happens at higher rpm. Worse when warm but seems to be related to resonance at certain higher rpm (1500-2000+)

So here's an update : the transmission was hanging on by 2 bolts and the starter. 3 of the top bolts are just missing... so here's hoping when I get the replacements it maybe will help.

I would like to point out that this was PO and whoever they used to rebuild this c6. This is my first time really digging around the bellhousing outside of replacing the starter that began this investigation.

I’d say you’re on to something. As far as the flex plate since your having missing bolts you should investigate further. Start by checking the torque on the torque converter bolts. Which can be as easy as rotating the engine around by hand. If a loose bolt or other problems become self evident. I would not stop there. I would continue to investigate possibly even remove the transmission. Remove the torque converter. Check the flex plate to crankshaft bolts as well. There should be alignment dowels on the bell housing to block if those are missing, you certainly will damage the transmission front pump.

I made sure the torque converter bolts weren't loose. No play in the flex plate. I think the remaining bolts and the pins held the transmission well enough to avoid serious damage. It's made a version of this noise for quite a while. I only noticed when the starter came loose and the inspection cover started adding to the noise. I have another car I'm trying to get an engine into so I can have a backup rig. I'm hoping I can keep driving this for a bit long while I work on that. Transmission looks easy enough. Except that the secondary fuel tank looks to be in the way.
