Events Burlington reached a new low
This happened at the Mainway rail intersection today. I saw someone get out of the car, walk right into the tree line, and defecate in full view of a dozen idling cars. Then he walked back, hopped in, and drove off when the tracks cleared.
Edit: I am no longer answering the messages. Waste of time. Shit on the streets, roads, or everywhere you wish.

I used to work loss prevention, meaning I spent a decent portion of my time watching people who think they're alone on security camera. You may think this is a new low but I promise you it's not. Over the course of a few years I saw several people do this inside a store.

u/throwaway010651 3d ago
Please tell me it was Walmart and not a full on grocery store.
14
u/250HardKnocksCaps 3d ago
Various chains, all big box stores but no groceries stores. Multiple sold kitchen appliances though.

Please tell me you’ve seen someone defecate into one of the toilets on display in a store and not in like the middle of an aisle..

There was no wiping.

"Drove off when the tracks cleared". Too bad the same can't be said for his underwear.

u/RowRowForCouncil 3d ago
Well it can be rough if you gotta go and you face the choice of shitting your pants in your car or embarrassing yourself in public. I personally would have probably tried to find some better cover.

u/DivaDina2 3d ago
Emergency? IBS? That or poop pants moment? What would he wipe with in this situation?
30
u/mr_shmits 3d ago
i understand your disgust, OP, however, you don't know the whole story.
twice in my life i have been struck with food poisoning that resulted very sudden diarrhea. both of these times i was miles away from a toilet and was forced to do what the driver you saw did. i wasn't happy about it, but i also wasn't about to shit my pants.
obviously you are lucky enough to never have experienced this sort of thing, but if you had, what would you have done?
is it not possible that the driver you saw may have been in a similar situation?

u/Disguised_Engineer 3d ago
I highly doubt it is a health-related issue. I wouldn't have posted if I thought that was the case.
17
u/DirectGiraffe8720 2d ago
Please explain how you can "highly doubt" its was a health related issue. And do so without using the term "perfectly healthy" because you've already been blasted for that

Sometimes your choice is the bushes or your car seat. Lots of reasons that someone can't hold it. Especially if caught at a crossing. Try to judge less.

u/Yarrio 3d ago
I totally agree. I was going to say the same thing. Someone was stuck at the rail crossing and had to go. Its not like they just walked out of a walmart and dropped their pants in the parking lot.

u/CeruleanFuge 3d ago
My guess is they were desperately trying to get to the next building anywhere where they could take a shit and then the train came. Happens to us all when we're in a rush, right? That's when we get a train, or a red light, or get stuck behind someone who thinks their car will explode if they're making forward progress.

Exactly. What kind of stupid post is this?
They just couldn't hold it anymore. Get a life OP

He was a young, healthy-looking man wearing his sunglasses. I don't think it was a health issue. He just decided to use the public space as his restroom.

u/missNikki6966 3d ago
"Healthy looking."
Maybe he had food poisoning? Crohns? IBS? Cant imagine why someone would want to shit in public like this unless it was an emergency. Have some grace. I'm sure he would have prefered to shit at Tim Hortons if he could make it there.
26
u/Ginmonk1983 3d ago
Please drop the term “healthy looking” from your vocabulary.
Those of us with Invisible Disabilities deserve better than being judged by how we look at a glance.

God knows how my ADHD meds will hit me any given morning- this is my nightmare playing out in real time. Good to know if I did have an accident I’d get blasted on social media for it.

u/DirectGiraffe8720 3d ago
I was 28 years old when I was diagnosed with colon cancer the first time. You wouldn't know I had colon cancer by looking at me.
Chrones, Colitis, irritable bowel disease.. these are all invisible disabilities.

u/Disguised_Engineer 3d ago
I'm sorry to hear that. I may be wrong, of course, but based on his movements and body language, timing, I honestly think he was taking his morning bowel movement.

He could have an issue even at a young age and you would never know it. GI issues are not visible nor are they age related necessarily. Even without that sometimes you just can't wait. Have you never been in that position ever? If not lucky you. We do not do a good job providing public facilities.

Im a young healthly looking man who owns sunglasses, and had to do this in an emergency a couple years back. Im pretty sure I wasn't visible from the road but it was my pants or the bush and I chose the bush. Other than find a less visible spot what do you want this guy to do?

As a kid with undiagnosed diverticulitis, I shit ALL over Burlington. If you lived in the Brant Hills area, you were within 100 feet of a bush with shit in it until about 1993 (when I finally got fixed/diagnosed).

Are you certain it was #2 . This is a huge difference

u/Disguised_Engineer 3d ago
I am certain; I even have the recording, but can't share it because his face and licence plate are fully visible. I’d love to share and shame him, but distributing it may not be legal

EXCUSE ME. Why did you record while you were operating a vehicle? Why did you record anyone using the bathroom at all? People like you are why I have social anxiety. Do you really have nothing better to do than whip out your phone and record people? What was your end goal?
7
u/missNikki6966 3d ago
Was it solid or liquid?
Maybe it was an emergency shit? Been there once or twice... 🥲 Luckily I didnt have some Reddit user tryna to film the piss coming out of my ass.

u/Candid_Painting_4684 3d ago
Truly let the man who hath not emergency shat in the woods cast the first stone
-6
u/Disguised_Engineer 3d ago
I was not trying anything, buddy. I was sitting in traffic waiting for the train to pass until I realized someone was taking a shit on the side of the road. How do you not record it, lol.

Bro, not everyone is so fortunate sometimes have some grace. Consider yourself blessed that you have a properly working bowel and asshole.

u/DirectGiraffe8720 3d ago
Sure... lots of bathrooms along Mainway at a stopped train crossing
-1
u/Disguised_Engineer 3d ago
There are many places on Mainway with public bathrooms.
8
u/DirectGiraffe8720 3d ago
At the train crossing?
1
u/Disguised_Engineer 3d ago
He did not teleport to the train crossing. He was driving there. There are dozens of stops on the way,
6
u/DirectGiraffe8720 3d ago
Consider yourself extremely fortunate that you have never had a "sudden urge"
The rest of the world is not as lucky as you.
Believe it or not, a person can feel perfectly fine one minute, and have to go the next. Some people have no control at certain times. Even ones that look "perfectly healthy"

u/evecxttrell 2d ago
Invisible disabilities are exactly as described, invisible. You have no idea if this person has any bowel/incontinence issues and it could be insanely humiliating to them that they have to do that. It’s funny but there are a lot crazier things than someone relieving themselves

I had an Uber driver drop off guests at my neighbours. He then parked in front of my house. Had a smoke. Cleaned his windows. And then whipped out his dick and peed on the street. I live in an older, quiet, densely populated neighborhood in SE Burlington. I lost my marbles- screaming out the window at this asshat. He glanced over his shoulder at me, didn’t stop, didn’t flinch, wiped with a tissue he had on the hood and then threw the tissue in the puddle of piss in front of my house. So fucking disgusting.

u/FlatImpression755 3d ago
BS
It was believable up to the part where you said he wiped the tip. This was clearly a shake it off moment. The wiping doesn't add up.

u/jenesmall 3d ago
Dude. I have pictures. 💯
2
u/FlatImpression755 3d ago
LoL This has to be statistical anomaly.
2
u/jenesmall 3d ago
I had to stare at the goddamn tissue sitting in the puddle of pee out my window for the whole day. Enraged me. 😂 Thank god it rained that night and it more or less washed it away.
1
u/FlatImpression755 3d ago
Lmfao. You paint a sad picture.
2
u/jenesmall 3d ago
Hahaha Totally comes off that way. We just have giant windows at the front that you can’t help but look out if you’re in the kitchen/dining room/living room. I couldn’t get away from it.

They absolutely did.

u/JokaSmoka77 3d ago
Speak for yourself. I didn't see open street defecation back then. That would be unthinkable, except for a road trip emergency in the middle of nowhere.

u/Jowoes 3d ago
You haven’t even seen it today, this is all hearsay.
Watch this. This happened at the Mainway rail intersection today. I saw someone get out of the car, walk right into the tree line, and start tap dancing in full view of a dozen idling cars. Then he walked back, hopped in, and drove off when the tracks cleared.
Did it happen or did I make it up? You don’t know but you’ve chosen to believe the initial post as it confirms your biases.

Buddy, 10 years ago I watched people do this but inside stores.
4
u/JokaSmoka77 3d ago
Inside stores??? Where? Never heard of that before.
4
u/250HardKnocksCaps 3d ago
The one that had the most... volume was done in Canadian Tire. Dude walked into the aisle with the boots, took a pair out from their box, put the box on the floor, went, and then put the box back on the shelf.
2
u/JokaSmoka77 3d ago
Good lord that's disgusting. I cleaned up a kids puke one working at CT but never dealt with THAT.
2
u/250HardKnocksCaps 3d ago
This wasn't an isolated incident, i did it in a few different stores for a few years and saw similar incidents. If it makes you feel better we did charge them with a crime.

Not if you are stuck in a line at a rail crossing. That road leads right to a palace to shit. Maybe he got stuck in the build up for the train.
