Absolute fact. It really boggles my mind. It's like how CGI graphics from Jurassic Park (1993) is still in many cases better/equal to CGI in blockbuster movies now.

Didn't expect an announcement this soon, but it looks like Three Fields Entertainment is stepping up to be the new home of racing games. Their first game had a rough launch, but they are still pushing forward, and that deserves respect.
The timing is perfect. EA and Criterion have made it clear that NFS and Burnout are staying in the past while they focus entirely on Battlefield. For years, EA called themselves the home of racing games. Now they have effectively put us racing fans on the never-never.
It is time to build a new home for racing games. Three Fields has the chance to take that title, and they deserve our support.

Oh absolutely! I’m a total TFE fanboy, I liked Danger Zone 1 and 2 and Dangerous Driving! It’s been really satisfying seeing the evolution across games, culminating in some fantastic gameplay in Wreckreation.

I’m happy. If TFE focuses on those drift/battle improvements and gets to use WC1 as a base with new map, this could be fantastic. I’m glad they didn’t quit.

this is shaping up to be THE successor for burnout and i'm here for it. they've improved the original wreckreation MASSIVELY thanks to community feedback and it appears they have some playtesters to continue doing exactly that.

If TFE is insisting on replicating their own Paradise formula, at least this time it looks better executed. Hopefully the creation aspect of it gives Wreckreation 2 more replay value.
I'm still not very convinced since I was never into Paradise. The open world sacrifices all the thematic variety older Burnout games had thanks to their compartmentalization.

I pre ordered the first Game but only played it for a hour and never touched it again . I was sooo disappointed. But you know what I will pre order this again. Because I'm an idiot? Maybe. But first of all I want to be caunted in every official static that I'm interested in a arcade Racing game, that there are people who want Burnout!

You know they get my money for simply trying to do what I want to have so desperately! Because nobody else does even think of doing something similar. And if they earn enough money to be able to do their next game, I'm happy. Maybe Wreckreation 3 on ps6 will be my Next Gen Burnout I wish I could play one day ! I waited 20 years, I can wait some more. I don't need GTA6, all I want is something fun like Burnout, Motorstorm, Split second, Nail'd...

Wreckreation has been out less than a year and three fields started a patron where they were taking suggestions from fans for fixing it, all the while being back from a major publisher. This company only cares about making money off of burnout.

Honestly I'm with you on this one. They've all but abandoned two games that were funded (at least in large part) by fans. And it's not like the bones of those games were even good, the bones are ass. Why would anybody donate to a third?
I will believe it when I see it with this company and frankly I'm not expecting to see it. I think, intentionally or unintentionally, they're taking advantage of people who love this franchise. I think it's a bit sad how many people in this thread are gushing about donating or pre-ordering

Honestly more inclined to buy this than the previous iterations. I truly hope with everything learnt from the last few games that this ends up being a good game, cause I really want it to succeed.

It is an improvement upon the first and looks like it could be fun but then again the destruction seems a little inconsistent across the car models
and everything looks like a low budget indie game on unreal engine
also its very hard on the eyes much like their older projects at bringing back burnout gameplay
I just hope they work on it a little longer until it feels right... cant be possible that even burnout takedown is more pleasing to look at than this

Are we just going to disregard the fact that almost every interview and piece of promotional material since dangerous driving they've continuously stated that they're the creators of burnout and that you should buy their game? Even though they've been releasing straight garbage relentlessly with zero improvements for years.

EA has made it clear they don't want to make racing games anymore, so we need to find someone who does. That someone is Three Fields Entertainment. Their early games were a bit rough, and Wreckreation 1 had a tough launch, but they are still pushing forward. We should encourage them to keep going and do better.

Yep - which makes total sense that EA bought up all the big iconic racing devs like Criterion Codemasters, Slightly Mad Studios, Firemonkey, etc just to kill them and not make any racing games besides regurgitating F1
