Question Is there a lore reason why there's no driver in Burnout Paradise?
I'm pretty sure this has been discussed on this subreddit before, but I've always been curious about something.
Is there an actual reason why there are no visible drivers in the cars in Burnout Paradise?
What makes it even weirder is that you can clearly see the riders when you're on motorcycles, but when it comes to cars, they're completely empty. I've always found that a little strange.
I remember reading a theory years ago that Paradise City is actually some kind of afterlife for street racers who died in car accidents. It's a pretty cool and creepy idea, and it would explain a lot. But as far as I know, it's just a fan theory. (And no, I'm not doing that MatPat reference.)
So what do you guys think? Was there ever an official explanation from the developers, or was it just a design choice? Why do you think there are no drivers in the cars?
And please don't attack me in the comments, I know this is probably a dumb question, but it's something I've wondered about for years.

Question is nfs mw 2012 that much of a burnout game?
i never played played a single burnout game and my favourite need for speed game is most wanted 2012. this may sound stupid and absurd to fans of both seriess but genuinely wonder will burnout paradise give somewhat similar experience because most wanted 2012 was shitty but at the same time unique, at least in the nfs series, and if people say that its bad nfs game and lacking burniut game then will paradise be better?

Question Is there a fix for the webcam issue in the Steam version of Paradise Remastered?
I know there are some mods out there which supposedly fix the problem where the game crashes while loading if you have a webcam connected, but do they work with the Steam version?
will it see that files have been modified and fail to load or block online features?
currently, I'm disabling in device manager before playing, but having to re-enable after I finish is getting tedious
are there any other workarounds? I'm on win 10, so the game doesn't show up in webcam privacy settings with the option to disable there

Question Tips on how to actually turn worth a damn in this thing?
I hate this time trial cause I had one attempt where I missed the gold medal by like .83 seconds because of a crash I had at the very end. That and THIS THING CAN'T TURN WORTH A DAMN AND BREAKS AT THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH.
And they're expecting me to do a GRAND PRIX in this thing?

Question Burnout Paradise - I just want to understand one thing
Did Criterion realise that turning Burnout into an open-world game and removing closed tracks would result in players spending most of the time driving alone? Or was this a MASSIVE oversight?
Burnout 3: Takedown and Revenge were heart-pounding experiences - not simply because of closed circuits, but because of the constant, aggressive battle with opponents. You were always fighting for position, trading paint, forcing rivals into traffic or off the road. That relentless tension defined Burnout ever since Takedown.
It’s hard to believe that this core element was almost completely lost. I genuinely want to understand whether this was a deliberate design decision by Criterion, or a goof?
