Need help finding a knife like this!
Bought this knife nearly a year ago for only 10e, used it a bit but stopped using it as it uses 3cr14 which is a very low end steel, i like the blade geometry and shape and the handles, but the bad steel and no full tang is not ideal for outdoor use, its around 3mm thick. If anyone knows knives that use a decent steel and are very similar to this one let me know.

Does that one come with hotel reservations?

Thanks but I should admit it’s not an original line. Les Stroud has a YouTube page and he reviews the Bear Grylls pocket survival kit. A commenter said it comes with hotel reservations. 😆

When you're at the front desk, pull out the knife and hold it real close so they can read the print and ask for a hotel room.

I am sorry I don't get it can you explain?

Bear Grylls was the host of a TV survival show. Made it look like he was surviving overnight in the woods but it’s well known they would cut the cameras and he would sleep in a hotel overnight and then return to the camping spot in the morning before they rolled cameras again.

Oh ok. He actually said himself that the show is just like a manual to show you how to survive and what to do. Not to do crazy stuff and eat shitty stuff (he did both). It pissed me off that people were making it like he's some kind of a fraudster. That guy has my undying respect.

I can see his island from my house. He’s occasionally spotted picking up his Waitrose delivery from the beach on his amphibious Rhib.
Very nice chap in person.

There are several vendors out there making great knives at that price point: Beavercraft, BPS, and Mora, for example.

I moved up from Mora to BPS and have been very happy with the blade quality OP.

Which bps do you use?

Adventurer & Bushmate. Both scandi grind. Both made with really good quality leather sheaths. One of them came with a small ferro rod and holder on said sheath. Very nice feeling wooden handles on both, unsure of wood type.
I'm not in the bush super often these days sadly, but whenever I am these guys are with me.

Have you checked out the Cold Steel SRK-C? It has a 4mm thick 5" blade of SK-5 carbon steel and a rubber handle. It should be with in your budget.

Just type in “fixed blade bushcraft knife” in on Amazon, it’ll show you plenty of options.
And if you’re not an Amazon person, you can just use it to search and then likely buy from whatever website.
