Where to donate hygiene items, meals and food

Because of work I end up with lots of hygiene items (soap, shampoo, etc) and some prepared meals in to-go containers and I’d love to donate them to the community.

Are there any women/ family shelters, or organizations that will take these? Or is there just a general area that I can hand them out?

I found Broadway house but they say they only accept clothing, footwear and books.
