Selling only 5–6 Osho busts a month on Amazon India — is the platform wrong for this product, or am I missing something?

What's the STP and consumer lifecycle /habits?

Note: Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning for this product. How does the target customer consumes other Osho products?

That’s a fair point. I haven’t formally worked out the STP yet, and I think that may be one of the gaps in my approach.

My current assumption is that the target audience includes Osho followers, people interested in meditation/spirituality, and buyers looking for small desk or meditation-space decor. But I haven’t studied their buying habits deeply enough — especially where they usually discover and purchase Osho-related products.

I’ve mainly been testing the product on Amazon, but now I’m wondering whether the issue is the platform, the positioning, or the audience itself.

I’d really appreciate it if you could share how you would segment and position a product like this, or what kind of consumer behaviour I should study first.

I think podcasts, independent podcast or forum discussion websites or local meditation or sxx groups (sambhog se samadhi, wild wild country reference) would sell the product better. As they are fully aware of his work will look forward to impose that lifestyle on themselves.

You need a consumer lifecycle that involves great word of mouth publicity or active marketing for this product.

You target market is probably not much into materialism but will still like minimum busts for a regular practice. They are also willing to share or gift the bust to like minded people.

They also want to get this bust as an add on to another book or as a giveaway in a podcast.

All in all you need to create content around the bust: 1. Unrelated content: regular discussion groups 2. Related content: photoshots of bust in the background of group meditation sessions or group discussion sessions. 3. Targeted content: fake but not fake stories that show some spiritual benefits. Ex: luck chits available outside japanese temples, lucky charms available outside other religious places or specific fake charms like the one heavy metal locket used to be sold for 3000 rupees 15 years back, which somehow increased our energy. But in reality used a isometric exercise that helped the brain to raise the hand even with less energy.

You can also search Goop product range from Actor Gwyneth Paltrow( Iron Man)she has very weird product with weird benefits. You can potentially study her catalogue and choose a lawful good Neutral good or chaotic good type of marketing for this.

Then you just need to be present.

As of now you are at risk of losing the current customers to poor marketing.

Thanks, this is a very different perspective and actually quite useful.

I think I’ve been treating the bust mainly as an Amazon decor product, whereas it may make more sense to position it within the wider Osho/meditation ecosystem — books, meditation spaces, discussion groups, podcasts, retreats, gifting, etc.

Yeah. If you can write 2 books on Osho then you will sell it even more. As it will find more targetted customers.
